Sorry to hear that. Let us know the outcome - repair or replacement?

That seems a rather odd way to lift the car ...
Good luck - was there any warning before the failure?

Agreed! Why are they lifting it like that - seems like the axles/wheels would be stressed.

... but unfortunately, not for a good reason ("gearbox out of order")

. These kind of events do erode brand loyalty.
Most definitely true. My Porsche loyalty has eroded since I bought my Turbo. I hope that reverses.

It was impossible to switch it out of "P" (parking) mode. When operating the lever, it always immediately reverted to P.

And in Parking mode, it does not roll.

The tow truck driver told me that he recently loaded a Dodge RAM onto his truck with that method.

And no, no warning. It just stood in front of the garage and decided that it's gearbox is malfunctioning.

I'll keep you posted.

Cheers,
Henrik

Hmm. If you think about it, the wheels have to support the weight of the car when it's sitting on the ground. So this isn't really any different. Except maybe for the stress on the wheel spokes.

Hello there,

the T4S is back and drives again. The official word on the fault was: "Am Getriebe war 1 Wegesensor defekt (Kurzschluss)" = "One path/position sensor at the gearbox was defect with a short circuit".

Aha.

In any case, I hope it will go on running and stunning ;-).

Cheers,
Henrik

Ah sensors, can’t live with them, can’t have really cool precise car tech without them!
