This are commonly used in interiors for trim pieces, panels, or under-seat components. Check areas like the dashboard trim, door panels, center console, or seats for loose or missing screws.

Any clue where this screw came from? I found it in my cupholder following a hand wash; I’m presuming they found it while cleaning the interior, so I’m assuming it came from somewhere inside but I suppose there’s the chance they found it on the ground (and that it may not even belong to my car). Any insight would be greatly appreciated 😬
I tried searching on Porsche service bulletins ANA41 and ANA52 but got zero results other than Japanese airline flights (airline code ANA). My hat is off to @Tooney, whose search superpowers vastly exceed mine. Anyway, as I recall, that bolt is for the seat rails, and Porsche considers it single use. Therefore, if you had service performed that required seat removal at the dealership(such as ANA41 or ANA52) , then that could be an old bolt that was replaced with new.

This sort of bolt is also used to fasten the door check straps to the body, maybe also hinges?

Thank you all for the insights!

I suspect the seat rail per @Genau above, but definitely not in a spot that’s visible. I’ll have it checked out. Agreed it looks like the screw fastening the door check strap; but all of those are present. The hinge screws are different.

Really appreciate all the sleuthing and the thoughtful replies! 🙏🏻
