Hello good people of the Taycan forum, I thought we would have a little fun here...

I fly to NJ tomorrow to pick up my new 2021 mamba green Taycan 4CT tomorrow and I need a name for her. Normally, it's easy...my old Saab 900s was named Uta, my Jetta VW tdi was named Ursula.

The new Porsche, of course, needs a good German female name, but it's a Taycan 4 Cross Turismo, dubbed "a mix between a sex act and a station wagon" by my business partner and she needs a sexy name. I didn't think this would be so hard. I've enlisted the help of my German, my American and my British friends and ChatGPT and we can't seem to come to a consensus on what's German sounding AND sexy, so I thought I would bring it up for a vote on this forum.

Here's what I've got in order of my preferences...

1. Annaliese (Ani)
2. Katarina (Kati)
3. Klara
4. Magdalena
5. Marlena
6. Brigitte (although this is more French sounding. think Bridgette Bardo)
7. Liesel
8. Lischen (nickname, but I forgot for what.)
9. Fritzi - my German guy friend living in Suisse offered this one and said it was a YOLO hipster name.

Names taken off the list:
Ava - not German enough
Frieda/Freya - More Scandinavian sounding
Taitina - Russian
Astrid -
Sofia/Sofie - I think Italia
Lotta, Ida, Bromehilde, Hildegarde, Helga, Greta - voted out for lack of sex appeal
Uta (I thought this was a sexy name, but my American guy friends say this is not sexy enough.)
Julia - too American

I'm hoping to make a decision by tomorrow at 2pm ET when I pick up the car...

What about an Austrian name?

Jokes aside, Müller, followed by Schmidt and Schmitz are about as german as you can get. Enjoy
Or something more classic. Heinrich

oh, yes, I didn't think about that, but yet, an Austrian or a Suisse name would be fine.

While I love the name Heirich, it's a male name. I'm female and so is my car. ;-)

sabine, sabina, ina - are beautiful, but have Latin origins rather than Germanic.

Schmetterling - oh, well that's interesting, if I can't find a female name. It has a particular significance as my late mother told me that butterfly is one of the few words that has no correlation between German, English, French (papillon), Spanish(Mariposa). Mom also lived on Mariposa street.

Chun - I asked ChatGPT for traditional sexy Austrian female names and it provided pretty much the same ones for German names. However, the Swiss ones did provide Annika, which is interesting.

Brunhild. To quote Britannica : Brunhild, a beautiful Amazon-like princess in ancient Germanic heroic literature

Sabine Schmitz was a German Nurburgring icon and professional Porsche racing driver and featured on Top Gear many times.
Can't get much more German and Porsche-like than that.
