Sticking with your trend to start names with U how about Ursula? - Strong as a Little Bear; Little Female Bear.

Failing that take your pick from here: German Baby Names » Girl Names » Starting From U » BabyNamesDirect.

Ulrike? - remember Germans pronounce all letters, so the "e" on the end is pronounced like an "a", thus "Ulkira" (though to me that's more of a Scandinavian name).
Years ago I had a date with a Swiss German. We didn't hit it off, but a year later he remembered my VW was named Ursula. I said, "wow, good memory!" He told me it was his aunt's name. Lol

Thank you all for your input! This has been fun. In the end, I decided on Magdalena. She's a big car with a big personality so she needed a big name. (Apologies Wasser, Heidi is an wonderful name, but it's too soft and sweet for this beast. )

Turns out that my long time friend 's husband, is a big Porsche fan, see pics of his garage. The pictured Porsches are in a trailer, but I'll see if I can get a photo tomorrow when it's light.

Now I have to figure out why my mobile charger is taking 40 hours to charge, but I suspect that the answer is somewhere on this forum....

Are you plugged into 120VAC? That’s about how long it takes on that supply. Shouldn’t be that long on 240VAC. Even a low power EVSE.

Btw: it is very typically german, to name your car. 😬
I thought it was just a silly thing to do, and as a shortcut/differentiator. My 996 is “Elf” (short for (neun)elfer), because i find it tedious and pretentious to say “911”. The Taycan is “Tayferl” (Teufel -> Teiferl for some tirolerisch color), but usually goes by “the wagon” for the same reason.

Yes, I thought was supposed to only be 15 hrs. Ill figure it out. Tried my first fast charger. Damn! 15 min and I went from 65% to 85%!

I'm staying overnight at a bunch of relatives and (1) plugging in, but also (2) discovering what car heads they all are! Last night my cousin showed me the Triumph he's renovating.

Hello good people of the Taycan forum, I thought we would have a little fun here...

I fly to NJ tomorrow to pick up my new 2021 mamba green Taycan 4CT tomorrow and I need a name for her. Normally, it's easy...my old Saab 900s was named Uta, my Jetta VW tdi was named Ursula.

The new Porsche, of course, needs a good German female name, but it's a Taycan 4 Cross Turismo, dubbed "a mix between a sex act and a station wagon" by my business partner and she needs a sexy name. I didn't think this would be so hard. I've enlisted the help of my German, my American and my British friends and ChatGPT and we can't seem to come to a consensus on what's German sounding AND sexy, so I thought I would bring it up for a vote on this forum.

Here's what I've got in order of my preferences...

1. Annaliese (Ani)
2. Katarina (Kati)
3. Klara
4. Magdalena
5. Marlena
6. Brigitte (although this is more French sounding. think Bridgette Bardo)
7. Liesel
8. Lischen (nickname, but I forgot for what.)
9. Fritzi - my German guy friend living in Suisse offered this one and said it was a YOLO hipster name.

Names taken off the list:
Ava - not German enough
Frieda/Freya - More Scandinavian sounding
Taitina - Russian
Astrid -
Sofia/Sofie - I think Italia
Lotta, Ida, Bromehilde, Hildegarde, Helga, Greta - voted out for lack of sex appeal
Uta (I thought this was a sexy name, but my American guy friends say this is not sexy enough.)
Julia - too American

I'm hoping to make a decision by tomorrow at 2pm ET when I pick up the car...

I like Sophia or Sophie. It was my grandmother's name and she was from Germany (one of 13 children!)
