Netflix on Apple CarPlay?

Good evening, fellas!

tonight i’ve had a little project and I think it would be interesting to share it out here, maybe someone has a better idea!

so I really, REALLY want netflix while i’m charging and i don’t wanna not mess around with a tablet or laptop.

I had to jailbreak my old phone in order to make this work. Jailbreaking is the easy part.

after jailbreaking, i did some research and found this app named CarBridge. There are a number of videos on youtube that says you can install this free and no jb but its bullshit. Good thing that in desciption it says pretty clearly that DRM apps (streaming services) are not able to play. Only audio with black screen). Had to pay $10 just to try it out, but why not!?

YouTube works perfectly fine, and other apps that are not DRM enabled.

I am pretty pleased and sad in the same time with what I did tonight. 2-3 hours including research for a good cause, haha!

Is someone here that tried to play netflix? Any success?

I use a CarPlay AI box that plugs into the usb-c port. It can play Netflix and YouTube, even when vehicle is in motion.

Same here, I’m using this CarPlay applepie box and works like a charm.
But the charging time is so fast I barely have time to start something that it’s already time to unplug

Jailbreaking your old phone is no small feat, but it sounds like you handled it like a pro. And kudos for exploring CarBridge to see what it could do. It's a shame about the Netflix hiccup, but hey, sometimes the journey is just as fun as the destination, right?

YouTube being a champ is definitely a win, though. It's always nice to have some entertainment options on the road. And who knows, maybe there's a workaround for Netflix down the line.
Speaking of streaming services, I did a bit of digging and found this link https://onlinetvcast.com/guides/hulu-brazil that might shed some light on Hulu in Brazil. Could be worth a look if you're still curious.
