Hi all,
I'm a newbie to the EV and Taycan world but I appreciate all the info on this forum.
Today I added a new member to the fam. It is a 2021 4S CT in Mahogany. Looking forward to learning the new tech and cruising some Colorado canyons in this.

LOL. Thanks all. Yeah, we thought we were just getting a Boxster GTS nine years ago... Damn gateway drugs!
Both the Taycan and Macan are Mahogany Metallic. Cherry is more red.

Great guess. Almost. Yes, on the blue cars. We got the Boxster for her and I got the GT4 a few years later for me. I got the Taycan to replace the Macan as a my daily driver. I ordered the mahogany Macan in 2020 and loved the color so much I tracked down the matchy Taycan. The Macan will probably go up for sale soon. Her daily is temporary displaced until then.

Cool. I've been doing his and hers with my wife since we've been married. Sometimes the exact same car but often different trim (e.g. Passat V6 + Passat W8, or Model S + Model S Performance), otherwise we at least stuck with the same brand (e.g. Toyota Sienna + Lexus RX). Having the same car makes it easier for me to modify them (practice on mine, second mod is quick on my wife's car so she doesn't fret over her car being taken apart too long), self maintain or repair things which are quicker to do at home, and similar controls when switching between cars. Today we have a Q8 etron and a Taycan - not quite the same car, but at least similar controls, can reuse some knowledge from Taycan reverse engineering on the etron. The etron would have been Macan EV or Cayenne EV if they were available a year ago (we were switching from a decade of Teslas) - I would have preferred it (especially after experiencing Audi software UX), maybe next time. though who knows what the next 2 cars will be - I evaluate all options when I'm ready for a new car.

Are you planning to replace the Macan with a Macan EV?

That is great. I hadn't thought of it, but in reflection we did similar. Her first fancy car was a Lexus RX330 and I got a CT200h. We drove both of those for 100,000+ miles before switching brand allegiance.
Funny you ask about the Macan EV...
Build locked November 24th on a Papaya Turbo. Both of our daily drivers will be EVs when that arrives.
