I'm guessing the new software was introduced in the factory after the late summer shut down and released to OPCs late November.

I do have the new manual download link, and downloaded it now.

However, they just called me because they are having trouble with updates on 2x of the modules and they have opened a ticket with Germany for assistance.
Because of the time difference, will have to keep the car overnight and finish up tomorrow.

I got my car back after 2 days in service for the update. All connectivity is restored.

That's the software I need to get the backlit logo to work on the gen 1 model, but there's a certain code you need to run that software and porsche won't release it for the time being

I visted my dealer today because I have connectivity issues on my j1 II. The built-in sim card does connect, the sos light is green but NONE of the connectivity done by this sim card is working: no traffic info in the pcm nav, no google button in nav, spotify, weather and news app are not working and cannot get any info to-from the app.
At the dealer they showed me that there were major connectivity issues with all taycans at the moment. What we did see that there was a waiting update on the car, the WRV3 update that should also address some of the communications issues.
Anyone already got this WRV3 update ?
Anyone else having connectivity issues atm ?

I had connectivity issues that weeks, going back and forth with Germany. I finally brought the car into the dealer, where it sat for a long while. Then this update came out and things started working. Haven't had an issue since, except for that short outage a few days ago for the phone app (didn't check the car).

I had the WRV3 update performed on my 2025. Before the update, I had all the connectivity issues you are describing.
Since the update all has been working as expected.

Can anyone confirm first-hand that Android Auto is showing navigation on their instrument cluster and/or HUD after this update? I'm waiting to take delivery of a new Taycan, and neither my dealer nor r/taycan could confirm this is working now.

In the new '25 Taycan you have the android auto display on the middle console.
When using navigation like Waze it shows the arrow navigation with text also on the driver display, but only in the right cluster. No maps can be displayed from android auto there.
For clarity see picture. The map displayed in the center of the drivers cluster is the pcm nav.

Fantastic news, thanks both. I wasn't expecting maps on the instrument cluster - as awesome as that would be I'm pretty sure it's not something Android Auto is capable of just yet.

Also something to take into consideration. You can have only 1 app doing the navigation.
So if you have pcm actively navigating, you can show waze on screen but not use its navigation
If you have waze active as navigation the pcm map can be shown but no navigation.
As soon as you start or pcm or waze navigation, the other one stops active navigation and only shows maps.

Fortunately waze gives active warning (speed traps) even when its navigation is not running.
