New Lighting System on updated Taycan refresh

Has not been approved in the USA with the current gen matrix lights. The US did finally “approve” the use of matrix lights, except one minor issue…. They aren’t the same regulations as the rest of the world. The U.S. requirements are slighttttly different in the cutoff region that requires automakers to continue to have a USA specific optical system instead of just using what’s used everywhere else.

these are the North American specific LED chips required for matrix (called active driving beam or ADB) lighting in North America.

Long story short, don’t get your hopes up.

I would just like to say... I'm sure on behalf of many of us here. If you and/or your colleagues comes up with a "hack" that would allow matrix to be activated in North America, we would totally pay... hundreds, maybe thousand? lol

I should hope so?

In Canada we already have Matrix activated which is brand new as of my24 cars only. Canada made matrix lights legal many years ago but because we're so low volume we just get the US spec cars. So if we're already getting Taycans with Matrix I hope the US will too
