Hi everyone,

I'm here picking up some knowledge before putting my order in. I'm in the UK, this will be my first EV and first Porsche.
Originally looking at a 4S, it now seems that by the time I've added some options I'm within spitting distance of a Turbo, so that's what I'm looking at now. Just waiting for the dealer to get close to some better lease figures I found to place an order.
I don't want to take delivery until next March (other vehicle commitments until then) so plenty of time to haggle over finance prices yet!

If you’re within spitting distance of the Turbo then I suggest you didn’t carry forward the same options of the 4S. Or you don’t have enough options. Besides upgraded battery plus, color, trim, seats and premium package and 20” wheels, I added the PDCC sport suspension which is great fun. Total $134K USD

Hi everyone! My name is Luke Manning and I am the Taycan Specialist at Porsche Grapevine in the DFW area of Texas. I worked for Tesla for almost 3 years before transitioning to Porsche 2 years ago. My family has owned several 911's, Panamera, and Cayenne. I even learned how to drive stick on a 997.1 GT3RS :CWL:

Excited to be on this forum! Looks like tons of active members from across the world.

Hopefully going to be ordering a RWD Taycan when they're released here in the US.

Let me know if you have any questions about the Taycan, happy to help if I can.

Been lurking forever, but finally decided to join officially. Ordered Turbo in December, went into production. Through COVID delays, I am just now picking up this week. I've been trying not to be too active in forum until now or the wait would kill me.

Hi, I too have been lurking for ages. I joined after kicking tyres and booking a test drive. Looking to order soon. If I am lucky I might find a slot for delivery in early 2021.

Finally getting around to saying hello. New member but not our first EV (Chevy Bolt). After a test drive decided to pull the trigger on a turbo. Dealer found a July build that had just exited production that was available. Arrived in Jacksonville on Aug 14, dealer on Aug 21 and took delivery Tuesday Aug 25th.

I actually parted with my 991.2 GTS for the Taycan. Car is amazing and looking forward to contributing to the forum!

Hello all,

Similar to a few others here - I've been watching and learning from you for a while. Big thanks to the regulars who have been posting, its been very useful as I work out what I'm doing. First Porsche and first EV so I've got a lot to learn in all areas.

Thanks in advance for the help you're giving and I hope I'll be able to contribute something in time

Hello from UK. Awaiting for my 4s to arrive in Jan 21. Ordered without seeing the car due to lockdown so hopefully from all the reviews on YouTube I won't disappointed.:)

Hello everyone,
I bought my first EV sports car Taycan Turbo S last month, and I am slowly learning more about it. Thanks to all the contributors who share essential info about their vehicles. I traded my Panamera to this one, and I totally satisfied with the response and handling of this vehicle.

Hello!
Test drive on my birthday in August, but just not long enough. My wife was very uneasy until she got behind the wheel and then totally got it.
Ordered my 4S in Gentian blue with Reading Porsche UK for delivery in December. Less than perfect time to drive a 2.5 ton car on wide summer tyres!
All the comments on receiving delivery very exciting!
First EV and first Porsche.
Looking forward to conversations with you all.

Hi Everyone, just wanted to say hi, we are awaiting our MY2021 4S which is being built on the 22nd September so hopefully should be here first week of October. Been watching and reading on here since April, When we put the order in and I must say it’s been very informative and eye opening to be reading about the issues that some of you have been having both in Europe and USA. But it’s also allowed me and my wife to know some hints and tips before we pick up our car, so Thank you to all for sharing the knowledge about 12v issues, ways to add second users, Issues with innodrive and other drive functions. Hopefully our ownership of the car will be all the more enjoyable now I know some Of the issues that could happen. Again coming from 911 backgrounds so we are both looking forward to the differences that EVs can offer. Keep up the great input on information, and maybe in five years everyone will be re-reading some of these threads laughing about the time their charging port would not open or release from the charger!
All the best to all,
Matt

Just had to say thank you — this forum has been a great resource as I finalized my decision and options. Happy to say I have a delivery date for a Neptune Turbo S in February.

Just a quick hi from me as well. Stumbled over this forum through a link to Don's road trip story (great reading - he should do more).

Recently got my 4S Performance after being a BMW driver (3, 5 and 7 series) for many years. Second car I've bought brand new since cars are bl##dy expensive where I live. The first was a fun Dodge Challenger when living in San Diego for a year.

Always been a petrolhead (gearhead for you people further west). Still learning the concept of "electric car" - but if the Taycan is anything to go by the future should look interesting. Unless the virus and global warming (which is a thing Donald) puts us back in the stone age.

Looking forward to trying the Taycan in the winter - which we do have plenty of. A bit worried about how those HUGE rear tires the Taycan demands will perform on snow & ice, - so that should also be interesting. I can always fall back on the trusty 530 Xdrive with studded tires if push comes to shove.
