Got mine mounted today. This is how Porsche instruction says it should be mounted ????
Car went straight back. Tomorrow it will be mounted on the passenger side.

Even for right-hand drive cars (like my Irish variant) where this is the passenger side - that is unacceptable. Who'd want that stuck that prominently and low down?

I have seen the installation instructions for the Audi version of this camera – and they too have it installed in this position and this low. Nuts.

Yes. And if you look at the Reparaturleitfaden (the holy Porsche book) the way it is mounted is 100% correct how Porsche want it to be.

This is the original installation info. I too thought they installed on the wrong side...
Also cannot connect as I dont know the wifi password. Anyone knows the wifi password?

Got a recall for the camera today. It got problems with the ABE ( german permission to use it in your car ).

Porsche is out to sea. They cannot even release a product without issues. My dashcam being replaced in July because it only turns on 50% of the time. I temporarily fixed issue with a USA made paperclip.

I agree, esp because that's how the inx show how to mount it...? so I'm out... No need to watch this thread any more... I love having stuff with the Porsche name, but there are LOTS of good dashcam on the market...at less of a financial (and aesthetic) cost.

It is in the manual. If I remember right 1234567890

this is how the cams on the tesla model 3 work. they use the forward and two side cameras and storage is on a USB disk. I do miss my cameras. I had a black vue on my model S as well.
I wonder if porsche could utilize the parking cams for this.

Legacy automakers never ever will do anything that is not profitable for them, Porsche is not Tesla, $1100 chinese camera branded Porsche will do for them and the dealers.
