New Porsche EV concept to debut at IAA

Electric coupe, electric suv or electric sedan.

My bet is on a coupe since we already have the sedan, the SUV is surely coming so no need for a concept and the coupe rumors have been heating up…

For some reason the lines here make me think a more midengine inspired design vs an “electric 911”.

Macan EV comes in 2023 so doubt it will be that - more likely coupe / something more exciting

I think the Taycan-like headlights are the future of Porsche. All models will have a variation of them.

An EV convertible would make me cry…

As I take the depreciation hit to replace my Taycan. I haven’t had a convertible since 2013 when I made the switch to EVs. I’ve got a Tesla Roadster on order, but what I really want is a powered hard top convertible.

Problem with a Boxter is Porsche wont allow it to come close to the performance of the 911. Taycan does in speed, but due to its size and weight, 911 is a better performer .

if it can’t compete with a Model 3, it’ll be humiliating. Not sure they can hold back the leaks in the dam much longer. There’s only so much Porsche can do about it’s classic platforms. They should let this go and leave the 911 to be the funnest supercar not the fastest.

I never understood why companies are so secretive with leaks, especially car companies with the camo wraps etc.
It's because it will affect current model sales. People will just wait for the newest one.

They're already testing a 'hybrid' version and was spotted at the Nürburgring testing recently.

We'd need solid state batteries before that day would come I think if it ever happens!
