I just got the update on MY20 4S+. Got the wireless Apple Car Play and the new breakdown button on the PCM, but the News, Weather and Apple music buttons are gone. Porsche "smart mobility" specialists had me reset the PCM, but that didn't help. My privacy setting is inactive, the connect app shows the services activated and everything else works. Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure if it’s the same issue I had, but I have experienced this a couple of times. I found that when using CarPlay the car stopped trying to use its LTE data connection and just thought it should be getting data over the Wi-fi link with the iPhone , which clearly doesn’t work. The symptoms also saw traffic info on navigation stop working live etc. When I disconnected the CarPlay it eventually woke up and started using sim data again. Not being a fan of CarPlay I haven’t turned it back on but this was definitely the cause of loss of data connection for me.

Thanks. I'll check that out. The weather and News don't show up either though. How did you disconnect the CarPlay? I have to use it a lot since I drive where there isn't a sim connection a lot.

I believe weather and news work off the cell data connection so maybe the reason you don’t have it is because of a bad cell signal?

Hi, You're right about all of that needing cell service, but I went to an area with good cell signal today when I called Porsche. They had me email the case # and a photo to them for the engineers to look at. I'm going to good cell service tomorrow and will try turning off the CarPlay. How did you turn the CarPlay off? On the phone or on the car somewhere. We just got wireless CarPlay with the update

Two ways to turn off I think. There’s a small symbol on left side of central screen you can use to toggle it and also one of the menu items on top row of lower screen. Good luck!

I vaguely recall that after the WMA5/7 update, there are additional over-the-air updates that take some time to complete, and those include updates to News, Weather, and Apple Music. I suggest you check if OTA automatic updates is enabled in Settings, and then watch for the updates to complete after enabling.

Thanks. I read in the PDF from the forum that was for the dealers update that there should be an "Infotainment update" but even with the OTA auto turned on, I don't see it where it should be. I'm reaching out to the dealer to see if they already did that or if it's just not showing up. Maybe if I'm in good cell service for a longer period (I only had about 60 minutes today) it will get it's head on straight.
I appreciate your help!

I figured it out!! I deleted my account on the PCM, signed in again and the "infotainment" updates all appeared. After doing those updates, the weather, news and Apple music appeared.
