Just picked up a 2024 Taycan 4S. I read here that there should be a way to get Active Lane Keeping (ALK) if you already have ACC. I understand you can buy it through Features on Demand (FOD). This isn’t an option for me in the Connect Store. No ALK or FOD listed anywhere. I called Porsche, and they seemed clueless.

Is there something I’m missing here? I’ve only had the car a week and realized now that this would be nice to have.

I added them for my MY24 4S after taking delivery in June 24 via the Connect store. I just accessed the Connect store and they appear to be available for MY24 4S.

Try:
-Navigate to shop.porsche.com - You should be able to access your My Porsche account by logging in

-Click on Find Connect Services - your Car and VIN should automatically load
-Click on My Vehicle - This will take you to the Porsche Connect Store
-Click on Function on Demand - All available function to purchase should be presented.

I don't know if I have been able to locate it because I purchased the monthly subscription for both ALK and Innodrive. Others have said they have been unable to find the subscriptions and they are no longer available. I know that not only do ALK and Innodrive are available but also Intelligent Range Manager which I do not have a subscription for also is available for purchase.

I’ve tried that, but there is no option for Function on Demand. The only two choices I see are:
  • Car Security Package
  • In-car Wi-Fi Hotspot powered by Verizon
For Active Services, I have:
  • Porsche Connect
  • Porsche Connect Care
This is why I’m confused. My car does not have Innodrive but does have ACC and Lane Keep Assist.

Perhaps as others have said, it is no longer available, which is unfortunate. Frankly, it makes no sense why they would remove the subscription and the revenue that is derived from it.

I’ll call again tomorrow.

When I called, the rep had no idea what Active Lane Keeping even was, and made up something about my car needing to have something installed at the factory. When I asked what was needed to have been installed (for a future order), she simply said “I don’t know, it’s some technology thing.” This made me believe she had no idea what she was talking about and just wanted me to go away.

I do not want to disparage any customer service representative. They only know what they know. My advice:
Tell customer service that you want to "open a ticket". Once this occurs a knowledgeable person will be assigned.

You need to speak to someone specifically at Porsche Connect. USA corporate line has Porsche Connect dedicated selection. Based on the recent evidence, we know that FOD is still available and you just need to get a hold of a knowledgeable person at Porsche Connect to enable it for your online account for the FOD options to show up to purchase and install.

Speak to your dealer before this becomes a bigger shambles than it is.

Raise a ticket in My Porsche App via the the email option.

FOD may be RIP but it could also be that your car hasn't been properly registered with Porsche - this may be a stretch given other services are listed.

Just a quick update for anyone who finds this thread.

I called and finally spoke with someone at Porsche Connect. They couldn't figure out the issue, but they escalated it to tier 2 support. Then I received an email saying they escalated the issue to Germany to figure out.

Two days later, I logged into the Porsche Connect Store and Function on Demand was there! I was able to purchase Active Lane Keeping and it should be installed shortly. I could have purchased InnoDrive, but decided not to at this time based on feedback found in this forum.

Really thrilled to hear this has been enabled for you.

I agree that ALK has the most value and works well on well marked roads, but InnoDrive not so much for most conditions since its value comes from following speed limits that most turn off or slowing down based on topography. However, I found that using ALK with InnoDrive is smoother than ALK with ACC but not saying you should spend what appears to be almost additional $1k USD on the InnoDrive.

Also, I would like to make my point again that it boggles the mind that this absolutely 100% profit for Porsche they are not taking advantage of with clueless dealers and phone customer support. They should be blasting this to all owners with ACC and no InnoDrive every which way possible. They need to hire people from SiriusXM that know how to squeeze $5/month from every sat radio receiver that is out there.

Happy to hear that this was sorted out for you.

As for Innodrive - Can you not purchase for a trial period? I did.
After trying out for a month, I decided it was worth the $25/mo to have it. You may too!
