Noise & heat insulated glass - phone reception & tint

I have it here in the US, there is very little tint on any of the windows and my iPhone works flawlessly on the T-mobile network. Probably best to ask someone who uses the same phone network as you in your country if possible.

How do you like it? Does the extra glass really help cut down on the noise?

I got my car and iPhone 14 on the same day. Cell reception has been crap since (Verizon) and i have the insulated glass + pano.

I happen to like the noise and heat insulation (in Texas). There isn’t any noticeable tint on the side windows but the roof is tinted well enough to not need extra.

I have the thermal/noise insulated glass on my 2022 GTS sedan. The glass really does a great job cutting down on heat and insulating outside traffic and road noise. As someone else has already commented, it's only very lightly tinted.

No issues with cellphone reception. I'm in Texas and on the AT&T network. I keep my phone plugged in to the USB port to keep it charged but keep it in a ProClip mount and not in the armrest compartment.

But as a previous poster noted, the insulated glass messes up radar detector reception significantly. My Escort 360 Max only picks up signals from behind the car (I read somewhere else that the rear window is the only one that is not insulated?).

My toll tag and self-service carwash sticker work when placed in the speckled areas to the left and right of the rear view mirror, but the transponder sticker for the garage roller door for my apartment complex did not. I ended up getting the apartment to issue me with an external transponder sticker. Interestingly that did not work when stuck to the outside of the windshield (!), and my speculation is that the metal coating in the glass interferes with the signals to/from the transponder whether inside the glass or outside. I ended up sticking it on my left headlight and it works fine there!

And yet for two years I’ve had zero issues (TMobile across TX and adjacent states) with my iPhone 13pro reception with thermal glass and tint.
Any chance you have a tint that had metallic flake?

Same. T-Mobile iPhone 14promax. Thermal glass. zero problems with receptivity.

The sole issue I face is that I have to get closer to my entry gate before the sensor is detected than I have to in other vehicles.

Without knowing the make indeed might be difficult - any chance of contacting the prior owner or dealer that might have installed it?

Are there any manufacturer markings anywhere on the tint (many do but often subtle) - perhaps a pro shop can tell and there is prob a test of some sort to measure interference but perhaps OTT at this point!

That said if I was in your shoes I'd sure like to rule it out at least.
