Norcal dashcam installation

has anyone here installed a Porsche or after-market dashcams in your Taycan or any other Porsche car?

looking for experiences, pointers or recommendations..

saw a few other threads where some have tried Porsche dashcam with dealer installation, others have tried Fitcam or Blackvue or other cams via 3rd party.

with rising thefts, ideally I would like to have something installed with parking mode and backup power source.

Well, I am not looking for options and details, but looking for a NorCal installer that someone has used before, knowing someone who has gotten a cam installed in Taycan gives me confidence

I have thinkware dashcam on my Taycan. Got it installed by Guru electronics. Happy with their job..
I did not get backup power as the $$ didnt make sense to me. I was told park mode might drain your 12v battery.

I have used OCDetailing the past few years for PPF, ceramic coating, they got my wheels refinished, smoke mirrors, window tint, etc.

I have a Taycan 4S and they installed Blackvue 750x, front/back, LTE module, and 2 batteries installed by them.

Also had them use a a mirror tap and blend mount from the mirror and installed an Escort 360c for me also. . They put the 2 battery packs in the back left trunk pocket so everything is clean.

They have a nice youtube videos, here's the one they made on my Taycan

Yes, it's in the left trunk well area and basically takes up most of the space, I have a 2 stack

and both fit in there, I think the shop velcro taped them together also so they aren't moving around.

I have a Same battery. The main 950x plus power cable is too short to battery in the trunk. Did you use some kind of cigarette extension cable to reach to battery inside trunk?

Apologies but I honestly have no idea how they wired it, I didn't really dig around or ask, it's all tucked away and hidden away.

Dead thread maybe, but Sound Innovations in Union City has been a great place for me. Ernesto, the owner, has personally in the business of mobile audio, alarms, radar, and dash cams since I was literally a kid.
