10/28/2022 11/17/2022 - PEC LA pickup scheduled

Not a good day today... PEC LA pickup was pushed out by 3 weeks ("We regret to inform you that unfortunately your vehicle is at the port with a block in our system and we will need more time for the delivery of your vehicle").
FWIW, TYD still shows 9/30 as arrival date at Porsche dealer (PEC LA). So frustrating. 😡

I cannot believe they even gave you that information, whatever the hell it means... "block in our system."

At least they're trying to be transparent... but damn, 3 more weeks...

Sorry to hear that, really frustrating.

My Taycan arrived at Benicia, CA on the Glovis Sunlight - one vessel before yours, it's been there since 09/02/2022 . I was initially told that my vehicle was missing the 12V battery but apparently received it a couple of weeks ago? SA mentioned that my vehicle is undergoing quality action (software updates) and should be here this Friday, which is what TYD also shows.

I'm a bit skeptical of that estimate though, but it looks like we're both stuck in the same facility. If I'll update here if I get any more info on my end.

09/02/2022 - Entry Port (Benicia, CA) ✅
09/02/2022 - Port Processing
Est. 10/14/2022 - En Route to Porsche Dealer
Est. 10/14/2022 - Arrival at Porsche Dealer (WA)

Here's the kicker: When I asked about the delay, this was their response:

"Unfortunately, later today I was talking with the port and we decided that it will be more convenient to move your schedule."

I know we have bigger problems to solve than this, but WTF?!

Nope still says arrived on the 4th and on vessel on 14th so I guess that means I’ll be on the boat leaving November? Or I guess it also might not have the 12V battery in which case who the hell knows lol

either way if it’s not on the boat my hope of getting it in 2022 isn’t looking great

There is the Seim Aristotle leaving 10/25, arriving 11/7. That's the next boat to Davisville. I'm hoping that it's just out of sync, and that we are on the Conductor... but yea, who the hells knows. That's the theme of Porsche.

My bad - I must have you confused with someone else. I don't know the West Coast schedule actually. There's no dates by Port of Benicia on the schedule I have.

Sometimes TYD lags way behind though, so don't lose hope!
If we're going by the pwl.de posted Glovis & VW Export schedules, there are no US Westcoast bound vessels for October. The next one on their schedule for Emden on 11/2/2022 (Glovis Sigma) for Emden Nov 1, 2022 --

However, there are NYK RORO schedules that could come into play for US Westcoast this month (San Diego only for VW/Audi/Porsche). They're subject to port inducement which just means, if there are enough cars, then they will come pick up.

https://www.nykroro.com/customer/schedules.html - Current Westbound Schedule as of October 7th
  • Altair Leader - Emden 18-Oct, San Diego 11-Nov
  • Dionysis Leader - Emden 21-Oct, San Diego 14-Nov
  • Volans Leader - Emden 5-Nov, San Diego 27-Nov
Keep in mind, these routes do not go to Benecia. I'm waiting for a car thats going to Porsche Irvine. And "subject to port inducement" could mean they do not come at all.

My Timeline if it helps someone here.

Completed
  • 8/23 Schedule for Production
  • 9/28 Production Started
  • 10/5 Production Complete
  • 10/6 Transport to Emden
  • 10/7 At Emden port
Expected dates not completed
  • 10/14 - On vessel
  • 11/11 - Port of San Diego
  • 11/18 - Arrival at Porsche Dealership (Irvine)
Take it all with a grain of salt. Most of the posts here have been therapeutic at best -- keeping the the forum busy as a support group vs pestering our dealerships (Honestly why I think TYD was even setup).

From the countless threads from month to month, the common thread has been:
  • TYD is not accurate
  • 12V batteries have spun everyone for a loop, no one knows anything besides, there is a delay.
  • Recent builds may or may not have batteries, but some (myself included) have moved to the port a lot faster than past months builds but TYD maybe inaccurate so... This means nothing. :CWL:
  • We all want our cars
  • Porsche is better than ______.
Anyway -- I hope everyone gets their cars soon and I'm sure this adds another glimmer of hope... I guess thats why we're here. Looking.. for that glimmer..

Man you guys are next level on ship tracking, guess we'll see on Friday given I have the exact same schedule as you (although PECLA delivery will always take longer...)

So we're all still with that 10/14 placeholder. Who the hell got on the Conductor? A bunch of Jettas!?

My TYD moved back to "ready for transport" but still shows that the "in transit" milestone was completed yesterday.

🤣 I'm done, this is just too hilarious at this point. I did not know the car came with time travel capabilities, but I'm stoked to try it out. They must have hit 88 miles per hour on the train to Emden...

Sorry to hear - fyi mine did the same thing last month, moved to in transit for a day, and then back to ready for transport. So my in transit date still says actual of 8/22, even though it likely was 10/9 since it finally reached Port on 10/10

Thank you for the info, that helps me a bit. I was hoping that maybe the train lost GPS on the way to Emden and that's why they just defaulted back to showing it back in Zuff. Anyway, I'm going to pretend it got on the Conductor regardless. On 10/22 when it hits Davisville port, I'll give up on that pipe dream too!

Was checking rennlist and noticed a few people with 911s getting on the conductor, but not everyone. Makes me feel better that the golden child of Porsche (911) doesn't always make the next ship out.
