Opinion needed.

This build: http://www.porsche-code.com/PLIJQTH7
is available to purchase at a dealer early July.
This is the build I have my deposit on: http://www.porsche-code.com/PL71QVU3 with delivery estimate November onwards. Would you wait or buy the one available?
The OP is asking a lot of the readers of this forum. kennedyjack expects that someone is going to click on both builds, read the specs for each, compile a list of the differences and then express an opinion. Who's going to spend that kind of time answering some random question on a car forum? Turns out, I will.

These are substantially similar builds for a Volcano Grey Metallic 4S. To save you all the trouble, here are the differences:

The car available in July
  • Standard Interior in Black
  • Under Door Puddle Light Projectors
  • Sport Chrono Package
  • Tire Sealing Compound and Electric Air Compressor
  • Wheel Center Caps with Colored Porsche Crest
  • Porsche InnoDrive incl. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
  • Smoking Package
  • Advanced 4-Zone Climate Control
  • Passenger Display
The car with a November delivery target
  • Standard Interior in Slate Grey
  • Rear Axle Steering incl. Power Steering Plus
  • Porsche Surface Coated Brakes (PSCB) with Calipers in White
  • All-Season Tires for 20" Wheels
  • Interior Accents in Dark Silver
  • Door-Sill Guards in Black Brushed Aluminum
  • $1,880 cheaper than the ‘July’ car
Of the two, I voted for the July car, because now is better than later, and I think Sport Chrono (and the dial on the steering wheel it provides) is a must. The only thing I would really miss would be the Rear Steering I think, although presumably OP selected the All-Season tires for a reason.

you have the extra rear seat, and rear axle steering on your build? I would only take the one of the lot if they offer a discount. If not 4 months will pass quick, I promise
Both have the extra seat. The only reason I am hesitant is because of the rear axle steering. I don't know if it makes that much of a difference.

This is like asking which Greek island is better, Mykonos or Santorini. They are BOTH going to be superb and the differences between the 2 cars will seem meaningless over time. Just go for whats available and stop over thinking and over engineering the buying process.

You will forever ask yourself if it makes a difference if you do not wait. I spec it on mine and am patient enough to wait a year. Thing is it’s coming in 2 weeks. I took all options of sportiness. I drive mostly 40KM a week. Probably do not need them, but I would always ask myself what it feels like if I do not have them. But that’s just me

Just an update. So it turns out the dealer will be selling the "July" one at market price which might be $10-15k above MSRP. Give me a break. I'll stick with my November one or whenever I get it.

Edit: Is that allowed? Can I complain to anyone lol, like the general manager?

From your flag it suggests your based in Pakistan? I am not sure what the rules on sales are over there.

I would wait for your specified machine:)

Complaining won't do anything. Negotiating may.

Hi,

my mistake, I did not see your location on my phone.

If you are US based, then find a new dealer.

I wanted to order from a dealer in France who was pretty lazy, so in the end I ordered from a dealer in Germany. the dealer in Germany in the end got me a car with a discount and its new.

I did not even ask, he also gave 5% discount on any aftersales parts.

ok maybe thats luck, but you never know. So try another dealer?
