My ONA6 update does not start. I received following messages:
It seems that the update is available.
Porsche Taycan OTA ONA6 failed to update IMG_3722

When I put det Taycan in P and holding in the start button > 1s, I received the following message:
The PCM can only be used when the battery is sufficiently charged
BTW the cars SoC is above 90%
Porsche Taycan OTA ONA6 failed to update IMG_3724

When I clicked on ONA6 to start the update process, I received the following message:
The function cannot be performed due to active process
Porsche Taycan OTA ONA6 failed to update IMG_3723

I have tried to update three days in a row. To day I also experience an error message in the My Porsche app, which said
Something went wrong: The function cannot be performed at this time. Please try again or contact Porsche Connect Support.
Porsche Taycan OTA ONA6 failed to update IMG_3720

I have a MY20.

Have anyone experienced this, and found a fix?

A lot
Same thing here but it was me that didn't read carefully...
I have a 2020 Turbo S.
First you put the car in drive.
Put it in park.
Switch off car (holding button for one second).
Then download the update (spinning circle).
Ignore msg "pcm can only be used bla bla bla".
Wait a few minutes.

Porsche Taycan OTA ONA6 failed to update IMG_20220721_153152307

When you see the update is being installed (on your instrument cluster ⬆) you can exit the car and LOCK IT.
That was the part I didn't do...
You have to lock it.
So, read again and do exactly what the msg says.
Good luck!

PS There will be a msg when the update is installed.

Thanks @Dee, for the reply. However, it still doesn't work for me :crying:

Soft reboot of PCM with two fingers on the top right and see if it works after that??

Or maybe ONA6 no longer works due to the big PCM update (which seems to have some similar - if not better and upgraded features compared to ONA6)?

Thanks @SwissTaycan, two fingers on top right got me one step further. When I clicked on the OTA6 I got the spinning circle saying it updating, but don't get the message that @Dee posted. However, after a while waiting for the message that @Dee posted, the update was aborted with the message
The function cannot be performed due to active process
. I guess when I soft reset the PCM, the process that stop the update has not yet started, so the update starts, but aborts when the process is started. I has off course no clue which process that is. I guess I need to visit a Porsche Center :crying:

indeed I had the same experience when I updated what Dee writes. The first time I stayed in the car waiting to finish the update. It failed. The next time I just started the update and immediately left the car and locked it. I waited 15 minutes and when I got back I drove outside the underground parking to have an internet connection and then I got the confirmation that update was succesful. It was either late or linked to have a link to the back end server and hence need an internet connection.

Sorry it didn't work. For me ONA6 did not show up as an update until I happened to do a soft reset (the annoying Apple Car Play syndrome not working for a few days). When I did a soft reset it "found" ONA6 and some others updates and all worked fine for me.

Software is such a lovely thing. Why the CEO of VW got fired as the entire CARIAD (VW Group software company that was supposed to cater to VW, Audi, Porsche, etc. "failed" and totally behind schedule. Can't blame the supply chain problems on software ;-)

Now the Porsche CEO is dual CEO of Porsche and VW Group. Hope that is not too big a job for anyone!

This happened to me as well. Porsche smart mobility fixed this for me. Email them to ‘un-clog’ your updates.

Thank’s @Cyberdriver888, I sent them a message early this morning. I don’t know if they did something, but the ONA6 was no longer available to me. Maybe, it’s withdrawn.

This is a perfect example of the stupidity of the Porsche software. The Tesla notifies you when a software update is available and downloads it automatically unless told not to. Why should we have to go through this nonsense to perform a function that should be preformed automatically?
