I’ve noticed a tiny paint defect or blemish (cracked paint), which is covered by PPF. Do I raise this with the dealership for correction, assuming it’s covered by warranty?

I would. There shouldn't be any defects noticeable to the naked eye on a brand new car. Scratches yeah, fair play they happen, but actual manufacturing defects no. I'd raise that if that were mine.

Unless you had the PPF installed at the dealer, it will only be through an act of kindness that they cover that in the repair.

I would definitely show it to your dealer.

PPF installer should have mentioned it before covering (unless, perhaps, they caused the issue somehow!). Don't hold your breath on the dealer covering this but worth a try I guess.

I’ve contacted the dealership. Hopefully they can do something about it, but I’m not holding my breath. It probably was the PPF installers.

How about a photo of the issue? It might not be in the paint at all, it might be a stretch mark in the film or something simple like that.

It looks like it was shrinkage on the PPF. After being there for a few weeks, and upon closer inspection the issue has seemed to resolved itself.

It was the same for me. It’s been like that for a few weeks, but it dried up overnight.
