I just made an appointment for campaign number ANA4, "first service", and two outstanding code updates for my 2020 and they still had no insight on this. That said, who the hell knows given how uneven and case by case dealer knowledge is...

It's vapourware for MY20/21 IMHO.

They did say that they usually get the info well in advance, so that's a bummer. However this is very anecdotal since it's just from one singular center.

Who knows -- it took a while before '20 models got updated to the '21 software. Here's to hoping!

Either by design or by indifference, the sales personnel at Porsche dealers know less about the Taycan than the average reader of this forum.

That was me responding in that FB thread - suffice to say I am quite skeptical.

He went on to say it will require hardware. No way Porsche is giving us a free hardware upgrade to PCM so either this is BS or it will be a paid upgrade.

Anyone else willing to get PCNA on the record about this?

I agree that it pretty much sounds like a random troll post.

I was thinking: is the colored PCM that much better than the current PCM in 20s and 21s? Mine works fine most of the time and 99.9% of the time it runs Apple CarPlay. So integrated Spotify - I don’t care. I was extremely annoyed in the beginning, but now I feel indifferent about it. The colored icons don’t look good to me. Only thing would be if it is indeed MUCH snappier and better performing than beta PCM 6.0.

but this will be another OTA update for which I have to drop off my vehicle at dealership for a multi-day service appointment - I'm soo glad my Taycan has OTA updates…

I'll await notification from my dealer - and not hold my breath.

I have no idea if this Facebook post is accurate. I saw it on the Facebook taycan owners page and decided to pass it on. I personally don’t have any info on this.

I don’t like the new look PCM. I’d only upgrade if there was a functionality or performance improvement
