PCM Simulator got uPdated!

The PCM simulator has been very useful to us on this forum to screenshot specific menus.

I noticed that the PCM Simulator got uPdated and has now the latest menus/icons: https://your-digital-co-pilot.com/en

Might be of interest of others as it wasn't the case a few weeks ago.

Yeah updated a week or so ago but not all features are simulated.

Would be helpful if the other displays were also simulated.

Some menu items listed which may not appear on your own car (snow chains for example).

Blame Porsche - they labelled it such drawing attention to "P" as this represents Model Year (MY) 23 and so all vehicles with the uPdate applied are MY23 software patched

P is the 10th digit in the VIN that specifies the model year… MY 2023.

For a moment I thought you meant PCM Stimulator.
Now that would be awesome.
But unfortunately it's just simulating what it should do, not what it does in real life...

I suspect it's the same actual user interface code as the actual PCM, just with the code that talks to the car swapped out for code that pretends to be a car with dummy values. Everything else is replicated too perfectly for them to build it twice just to have this simulator.

I would not be surprised if this is a stable version of their own internal dev kit for their software teams to work on.

please check this in the sim and in your car:

Main Menu -> Car Symbol -> DRIVE Tab -> "..." (three dots submenü) -> range drive mode configuration.

the 3rd PIRM option is missing in the car.

@rs38 - what charging differences have you noticed - say at 85% & 100% in terms of estimated range from the battery display?

Also, could be my incompetence but do you get satellite maps displayed with wireless Android Auto (if you use it) and additionally does it respond to general 'Hey Google' requests? I don't get the satellite imagery layer nor does Google fulfil any voice request (it is connected and bombs out with 'oops connectivity..)'.

range improved as I tested a lot with very low power demands. Don't use car play too much and just played a bit with AA to get car scanner to work with it. Obviously not easy with un-rooted device.

Turns out Google removed the satellite layer in June for AA.
