Occasionally when turning the car off after driving, I see a brief banner on the PCM that says something like “Use of PCM requires adequate voltage”.

According to the dashboard my 12V battery is rock solid at 13.4V, so I’m hoping this is just a cosmetic…

This message is normal in most if not all Porsche vehicles with PCM. If you power off the car with the PCM / radio on this message will appear as you are running on the 12V battery. PCM will shutdown after a few minutes to protect The battery or will shutdown as normal when opening the driver's door.
