Now a few days after delivery. In the dealer we tried to log in with our Porsche ID and corresponding password, which are 100% correct, but PCM gives a message that the login details are incorrect. Now a few days later, logging in still doesn't work and we are still driving in 'guest' mode.

Logging in to the Connect app has now been successful, but the car is not yet connected to the app, because the car cannot yet log in...
We are therefore annoyed that we cannot access our account, the car does indicate that there is a current LTE connection, but online radio, real-time traffic and other services are not yet working. Maybe this will automatically activate if we could log in to the car, which is not yet possible.

Does anyone have a solution to be able to login without the PCM 'wrong credentials' error? Perhaps connect the car to the home WiFi and then try? Any ideas and hopefully solutions are very welcome!

Try changing your password to something simpler.

Our first was like 14 characters, upper/lower/symbols generated via lastpass.
Second was an older password we used to use, not super complex at all.

I'm having problems with logging into the app, code: 5_MP_PP.
Logging in at the website works perfectly, it's just the app. Think I need to get it activated at a Porsche centre but it can wait for now since it's not too important for me. Need to link account to the vehicle but I'm going to do that when taking delivery in August. Maybe they can fix the login problem with the app too.
Now day 10 after delivery. These are the issues:
Cannot log on to car - credentials invalid
Cannot use app -Error when loading user profile
If I log into app via a web browser, It recognizes me. Image of car is not mine, cannot do anything to car from this log-on method.
When I uploaded credentials to site, received an email stating my information needs to be verified.
That email came from Porsche UK ? I am in the USA. Still no verification email.
Called Porsche connect. They opened a case file over a week ago. Oh, they said I was verified, but email verification still never came. They said they would be in touch. Nothing, crickets.

Porsche-US, Do you troll these forums? You have one dissatisfied customer here.
Also, cannot answer poll as there is no "issue not resolved" Still logging in as guest.
I could try scrubbing everything & starting over. However, I do not know what Porsche Connect is doing on their end. Don't want to go any further down the rabbit hole.

Can you log on in your car with your Porsche ID? Today, mine failed, too. I will change the password to something simple and try again tonight.

It seems I can't change the password to something simpler because it asks for minimum 8 characters, upper and lower case and a psecial character...

Im guessing you took delivery recently? I just got my 4S on Friday, and came to say the same issue. The 'login' button stays grayed out so.

Dealer says its likely a issues on the Porsche server side, and to wait a bit.

Porsche needs to get this corrected. Taking delivery and not being able to access all functions in a new vehicle is annoying. The dealer "released" the car so I could connect the app on Friday, I took delivery on Tuesday and finally could log in on Thursday (including resetting to a shorter password).

I was really quite patient and tried quite a few times over the span of 4 days. First the password was wrong, but it wasn't.

A few days later after MANY attempts, the password was accepted and I get a message, that I have not created a 4 digit PIN in the my.porsche.com website.

Hmmm, I contacted Porsche Connect service (a simple front in Beijing, all problems are forwarded to Germany) and they explained it to me. Created the PIN and the next day after more attempts to logon, it suddenly worked and I entered the PIN and finally my name as a profile came up.

My password uses one digit and one !. Perhaps try, if you can use @ as a special character. Keep it short and easy to type! :)

Thanks everyone for your support.
Indeed the car was not ''released''yet and the problem with the ''incorrect password'' (which was accurate btw) got solved by itself after a couple of hours , so I suppose the server in Germany was slow to process it...
FYI , I was forced to use at least 8 characters for the password and I picked ! as the special one.

During delivery, my 16 character password didn’t work. My adviser recommended that longer passwords were troublesome, and to use a shorter one with only an exclamation point as the special character. I changed accordingly to a 9 character password and everything went well after that.

I also set up the 4 digit PIN sometime during this process in the car itself.

My turn.

I took delivery of my car at PECATL on September 3rd, and I was ready: I had set up my Porsche ID, my PIN and had the car RDR'd several days prior to delivery. On delivery day everything went smooth: Set up the PCM, entered the Porsche ID and credentials and everything worked on the first try. Huzzah! I could see my car in the app, get my favorites and presets loaded, and all was right with the world.

Then on September 9th I realized that the App was showing an incorrect location for my car. Strange. I thought maybe I was out of range, or there was some latency, but the app and also the My Porsche website were reporting the wrong location for the car and claimed the car was charging, which it wasn't. Per the app, the car hadn't updated since the 7th:

I assumed it would correct itself. After a couple of weeks of no joy, during which time I drove the vehicle multiple times totaling several hundred miles so it had plenty of time and signal, I reached out first to my dealership (who claimed the 'Porsche Servers must be down') and then to PCNA.

Fast forward to today: Someone from PCNA calls me to help. She was pleasant but clearly following a script and was unable to provide any information about what was wrong, why things suddenly stopped working, or how the steps she was proposing would help. I did as instructed however and did a factory reset of the PCM. This wiped out all of the presets, preferences, pairings, etc. Annoying, but if it solves the problem I suppose it would have been worth it. Except.

Once I did the reset I am no longer able to log into my Porsche ID on the vehicle. I'm getting the standard "ID and Password doesn't match" error, even though I'm dead certain they are correct, and they work on both the app and website. I also tried changing the Porsche ID password multiple times to something different and 'simpler', all to no avail. PCNA wasn't much help and the latest communication from them was "The issues you are receiving on your PCM are a nationwide issues, in which we are actively looking for a solution. I will be following up with you as soon as I receive further update on those concerns." which tells me nothing, of course. I don't know when to expect to hear further. is it just me, or is everyone's car in the US unable to update?

First-world problems to be sure, but this is a disappointing customer experience to say the least.

If you’re having trouble logging in thru PCM, remember that the onscreen keyboard defaults to caps ON. If you created your Porsche ID username as lowercase, you need to enter it as such into the PCM - it appears the Porsche backend is case-sensitive for username AND password. I know this because I recently had to re-enter my credentials into the PCM and until I entered my username as lowercase I couldn’t successfully authenticate.

Part 1 is a couple of posts back

I have a surprising but happy update:

I brought my car to the dealership two weeks ago to see what they could figure out about the car's inability to connect to and update the Porsche servers, and my subsequent inability to even log-in and link my Porsche ID to the vehicle after following PCNA's advice to do a factory reset. The dealership kept my car for a couple of days, and in consult with Porsche in Germany they suggested I needed a new "OTA Update" module which, naturally, had to be shipped from Germany. They couldn't explain to me why I needed this or why they thought it would help, but they were following the guidance they were given. I took my car home and brought it back yesterday when the part came in. I was skeptical, but had nothing to lose.

The dealership called me today and said they didn't have good news. They replaced the "OTA Module" and were still unable to authenticate my Porsche ID or make any progress. They told me I could come pick up the car and that they will continue to pursue it with Porsche and put together a game plan next week. They were apologetic but felt they were stuck and out of ideas. I reluctantly agreed and picked up the car.

When I got in the car at the dealership I logged in as Guest, of course, but on a lark I thought I'd try logging in to my Porsche account myself anyway - and it worked! I walked back in to Service and the SA was dumbfounded and immediately called the tech, who also couldn't believe it. I get the sense they tried logging dozens of times to no avail. Everything seems to be working now - I am logged into the My Porsche account, the car is updating the Porsche servers and the Connect app and My Porsche online are both accurately seeing and communicating with the car, they know the car's actual location, they can see the status and state of charge - all of it. I'm very pleased, even if nobody is quite sure why it started working!

I haven't seen this many green segments in a very long time:

I wish I could tell you the secret, but after 46 days (out of 49 days of ownership) I have a functioning and communicating PCM again.

Postscript edit: As mentioned earlier in this thread I had initially opened a case with PCNA by email before bringing it to the dealer. Around the same time as the dealer was replacing the OTA Module I got a message from the Smart Mobility Specialist at PCNA that she "used a factory reset method to reset your PCM". I don't know what this means, or if what she did addressed the problem, or if what she did in combination to what the dealer did helped, but whatever combination, I got there. For reference, my PCNA Case ID was 5606065.

This sequence of events is almost identical to my problem except that October 11 was the last time my car updated charging state, mileage and location. The 12V battery died during that charging session and I have been locked out since with no one at PCNA or my dealer having any idea what's wrong.
