Planning factory roadtrip - suggestions welcome!

I live in the Netherlands, my 17y old son in the UK. He’s coming over for 3 weeks and I’m planning on doing a roadtrip with him to Stuttgart (700km one way)
take a hotel and visit the museum or take the Taycan factory tour. Next to driving some of the Eiffel routes. Planning for 3 days 2 overnights.
anyone who did something similar and can share experiences / recommendations?
hotels / restaurants / sightseeing / parking / charging Etc.

There are chargers at the Porsche Museum that you can use for free.

If you want to break the journey to or from Stuttgart, this hotel is a showstopper, as long as you book one of the "Car Loft" rooms. Forum member @tigerbalm stayed here first, but I stayed there in early December, and it is great.

In Zuffenhausen, the Rioca Posto 4 hotel is fine. Not luxurious, but within walking distance of factory and museum.

Factory tours are often fully booked long in advance. But you may have luck if you go there anyway, as they may arrange additional tours on the spot: at least they were so kind when I was there in September.

And the museum is great!

Did it twice, fantastic.
- Hotel: We were Hockenheimring Taycan e-Warm Up event, Hotel in Mannheim ca. 100km to Stuttgart, so not relevant. Mannheim is one of the most beautiful German city anyway.
- Traffic could be really heavy in and around Stuttgart, so calculate with it.
- Factory tour is fantastic. Sometimes they have no tour for weeks, sometimes booked for months so do the reservation as early as possible.
- Garage underneath the Museum includes plenty of 22kW chargers for free (at least Aug '21).
- Next to the Museum and factory there is a dealership with unique cars for sale on the first floor. Visit it as well. Saw 2 918, Carrera GT waiting for service and many other rare cars around...
