I have two PMCC's and when I turn them "off" by pressing the power button, one completely eventually goes dark with no LED lights on. My other PMCC the top half-circle lights stay continually on. Is that normal? Thanks in advance!

there is a “sleep” setting buried in the settings - one might have sleep enabled and the other has it disabled.

I’d drill around in the “gear/settings” icon.

Argh matey - I went through (what I think) every menu setting and still couldn't find the sleep setting.

I ended up factory resting it, in the hope the factory setting has sleep enabled. After trying to set it up again - it crashed and had to unplug it and replug it back it in.

No dice - LED is still on.

@daveo4EV - zero rush, but if you are bored and want to find that sleep setting, let me know=) I'm usually pretty software literate... Thanks for the reply (and all your other ones this past month).

You need to set the sleep function up by logging in to the PMCC. The password etc is on a small piece of paper delivered with the charger

And PIN from that piece of paper is unreadable. At least in my case.

Having used mine both with and without the sleep setting enabled, I can say that at no point was only the top half circle illuminated. I'd guess this is a circuit board problem - but as long as the EVSE is otherwise working fine, probably not worth worrying about...

Apparently you put water on it to be able to read it.

I didn't want to do that so I found a small trick- I used my phone camera to zoom in and was able to read it (barely).

Awesome!!! Can you login without having it linked to a Porsche ID? I'm still waiting for my dealership to set me up and I have to go into my Taycan as a guest still.

I agree with you that the PIN , PUK is unreadable but I never had to use that.

There are printed WiFi , User name and password. At least with my charger.

Yes you can. If you do not have wifi connection in your garage you can still log in to the charger when close to it.

Me too… saying that, I actually don’t know what PIN/PUK are needed at all.

I took a photo of my card under flowing water where everything was legible, then I let the card dry out so I could return it to the storage place. From the photo, I typed all the information into my password database. Now I can copy/paste the information into the browser when I access the PMCC.
