Hello,

I have had several Teslas and while charging on 110v I can select between 12-15 amps on the car(depending on if I am plugged into a 15 or 20amp outlet). I have my Taycan plugged into a 20amp outlet but the "max" amperage on the connect is 8amps. I have tried several outlets and all of them max out at 8 amps, why is this? 8 amps on a 20 amp outlet is very low, is this a know limit for the charger or is there some way for me to get around this?

You're using a porsche charger? Maybe try a third-party one? I personally got a Mustart one.

I’ve charged my taycan and my tesla’s using the following 120 volt amps:

12 amps (for a 15 amp circult - NEMA 5-15 plug type)
16 amps (for a 20 amp circuit - NEMA 5-20 plug type)
24 amps (for a 30 amp circuit - NEMA TT-30 plug type)

the charger being used was a Tesla Gen1 Universal Mobile charger
