Bjorn Nyland's (aka Tesla Bjorn) Banana box test of the Taycan 4S (thankfully with out a premium sound system).

One cool feature I had not seen on any other reviews was the ability to switch the seat controls from the PCM so that the driver can't adjust the passenger seat.

Also in case you are wondering why the"Tesla is way better! CLICK-BATE" title it is because his previous video from a few days ago was "Porsche is 9 times better than Tesla", when talking about the vampire drain when the car sits for 22 days.

More than what I expected. Like he said, not that anyone is interested in cargo capacity when buying a Taycan. Looking forward to his driving review.

I didn’t realize he uses boxes. It would have been fun to see how many bananas he could fit in.
He does banana box test on every EV even a cargo van, the Nissan NV200.
He had to get more boxes for that test.

He is funny and very informative. His YouTube videos convinced me to buy my first EV - I figured if Tesla works in Norway, it should work in Minnesota just as well. I bet he will be quite impressed with the Taycan.

He already did.
He's now live streaming a range test.
Funny and informative, lol.

Link to the entire stream if you have 8 hours to kill :)

223 Wh/km at 120 km/h = 359 Wh/mi at 75 mph
173 Wh/km at 90 km/h = 278 Wh/mi at 56 mph

This was done with the smaller battery on 20" aero wheels, temp ~10C. Done the correct way - going from full charge to nearly empty (3%). Just like the autobahn specialist, range much higher than EPA estimate.

Assuming no major difference in consumption (I know small battery is 80 kg lighter, but that should not be such a huge difference), the estimated range for the 83.7 KWh available from the large battery would be 233 miles at 75 mph and 301 miles at 56 mph.

Thank you so much for sharing the link @svp6 . I skimmed about 2hrs of that stream. He was as glowing as Bjorn could be and said epa is a joke.

Well, let's be honest, an agency which calls themselves "environment protection" is not all about performance figures, right?
This is indeed a joke.

Many thanks for converting the large battery range
However could someone please confirm the miles range of the smaller battery using this formula.
Many thanks.

Bjorn said in his video that the small battery left 76kWh usable so that means:
439km @ 90kph
341km @120kph

Many thanks Ron — much appreciated.
That’s just less than 30 miles extra range for the large battery. — thought it would be more .

The one really useful tidbit I found thru the video was that you can adjust Range Mode top speed to 140kph, that's 87mph. That's very fine top speed in the USA and you can always floor it to release the limit.

I had heard that it could be adjusted back in 2019 but never heard confirmation or the upper limit.
