Maybe this is a very basic and dumb question but is there anyway to just have this damn Porsche Connect app automatically charge to 85% when I get home at night and plug it in? Everything I read suggests charging while battery is warm is advantageous.

Ideally I would have it set to direct charging but have it stop at 85%.

Just set the _minimum_ to 85% and it will work. Don't think about the word "minimum".

Thank you, it’s just so bizarre how 1 out of 5 times I charge it it’s stuck in the “Pause” mode.

Yes, it is simple. Suggest watching the video and reading the documentation available.

Take care not to have conflicting / overlapping timers / profiles.

Direct charging will charge to 100%. Use the general charging profile, set it to 85%, make sure it is active, make sure "Optimized charging" is selected, not "Preferred charging times." That's it.
