I'm about to put down a deposit for a MY23 Taycan GTS that I likely won't receive until sometime spring next year given the waitlists in northern California. I know there are rumors that the Taycan will get a refresh in MY24 which I'm guessing will be delivered to people in Fall of 2024.
Would it be worth it to just wait until the refresh at this point? i.e., I'd probably put down a deposit late fall / winter of this year to get in line for the MY24 allocations.
I know its impossible to know what changes are going to be made for the refresh, but I'm curious to get the perspective of long-term porsche owners / followers of the brand in terms of how many changes Porsche typically makes for a mid-cycle refresh. if its generally light cosmetic changes then I probably won't wait but if Porsche is known for making more wholesale changes/improvements then that's a bit of a different story
Would hate to spend $160k+ on a GTS and then feel like I missed out on a very different model 5 months down the line...
