Is it worth upgrading on FOD for my 4S ST?

Only you can tell if it's worth it to you.

You can trial FoD on a monthly basis. If you don't like it just cancel it

Should always be a default option IMHO to tick when not standard.

Have you experienced speed sensitive steering before? If not, no going back once you've tried it.

Take the trial as mentioned.

Depends on wheel size Graeme.
You cannot try PSP for 3 months unlike the other more expensive options such as Comfort Access, Innodrive or ALK.
It is available as an outright purchase only. I paid £300. Annoying as it was £200 factory option.
It is quite subtle, I didnt have it on a 4S with 20s and never missed it
I ordered a GTS without it too.....
But I had 21s on the GTS...
HUGE difference, horrible Ackermans effect and steering felt VERY heavy at low speeds.
(There was no difference at high speeds)
I paid for FoD PSP within a week of having the car.
If you have 20' (or 19' obviously) wheels and you are not struggling with the steering wheel
I wouldnt bother, you wont notice much difference at low speed and none at high speed.
It does make a Taycan with 21s more pleasant at low speed (only)

I have a Taycan with 19" summer tires and 20" winter tires. I've always felt the steering at low speeds is a bit stiff. Not too stiff to be really problematic, but the difference is quite significant to any other car I've driven in the past. I've grown used to it and it simply is a characteristic of the car.

However I will have power steering plus on my next gen Taycan which I've ordered and I look forward to seeing how it changes the experience. I'm pretty sure I'd prefer the steering to be a bit lighter at low speeds.

Thanks for the info gents, I have 21” Spyder wheels and yes it feels very heavy at low speeds. I think I will opt for it then on FOD . Thanks again Gra

absolutely- i like heavier steering generally, but the upgrade to Plus transformed the car

Ackmans is not introduced with the addition of PSP.

21" wheels explain the ackermans impact and typical of all Porsches.

PSP is intended to be subtle and kicks in at speed - steering weighting is increased.

Yes, spot on, I knew this but my post was misleading
PSP will NOT stop the lovely Ackermans
I was just saying after 20' wheels being lovely without PSP the rude awakening of 21' wheels having to tug on the steering wheel at low speed COMBINED with the Ackermans was horrible.

Addition of PSP did make a HUGE difference at SLOW and parking speeds. Much easier.
But still had horrible Ackermans in the cold.
I can 100% confirm this as I did before and after slow speed cornering absolutely back to back before and after the FoD. I can also confirm that I felt absolutely no difference at speed before and after FoD.
