PPF and Front luggage compartment sensor

The (hand) sensor to open the front luggage compartment of my Taycan isn't working. The Porsche service dept manager says that it's because of the PPF that I place on the front of the car. is anyone experiencing the same problem?

I have heard similar comments from dealers.
I have clear PPF with ceramic coating.
For me it was a question of finding the right spot or in this case hand movement. See short 5 second video. From left to right bottom of the Porsche shield and then back to the left over the shield. Hope this makes sense.
Works every time for me now. You may have a different sweet spot.
