I checked out a score of PPF installers all over the Bay Area before settling on Marin Auto Detailing. Pedro and his crew were fanatically and obsessively devoted to doing the most professional full PPF job on my Taycan 4s. And they're experienced, having done a fair number of Taycans besides mine. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Tell them I sent you if you reach out.
One more thing, book your appointment early as they are crazy busy.

Consider Elite Auto Concepts in Concord - Ive had several cars wrapped and unfortunately I didnt find them till the most recent - by far the best I have seen.

Also not all product is the same - Xpel used to be great but since 3m purchased them, its quality isnt the best. Id take a look at Stek PPF - I have it on one of my cars right now and its unbelievable - its thickness and hydrophobic properties are the best on the market.

Deep Reflections in Los Gatos is great.
They did mine (full body + ceramic), were great.
They also do a lot of work on Porsches and other high end cars.

It wouldn't be Stek if they charged for a ceramic coating on the PPF. Its impregnated with it already.

the price is around what i remember. may have been a little more? i also got it last year when covid was shutting down business so there may have been a break.
regardless, i am very happy with it. had it done 14 months ago and no issues

I worked w/ Protective Film Solutions in Redwood City to repair the front PPF on my Taycan last year. They did an awesome job. They're not cheap, but they're consistently recommended by my friends who drive exotic cars as the best shop in the area.

Quick question for you experts. The Porsche dealer where o am getting my 4S from said they have spot where they send 10-20 cars a month for PPF and windows tinting in the LA Area. He gave me tue following quote. Here is the price breakdown:
- Partial PPF (front bumper and hood) = $875 (add $50 if you want the mirrors)
- Full PPF = $1850
- Regular tint = $350
- Ceramic tint = $575
- Felt protection for tint = $300
he believes it is precut, he does all of their wraps and tints and does an excellent job. He believes it is 3M.
What are your thoughts?
