I know this subject has been posted already but I kind of running into issues.

I used the fuse box on the left side (Driver Side) and once I was done I realized that all fused are 12 volts permanent and not linked to the ignition. I was a bit shocked about that.

As result, the radar is connected and up all the time. Big Deal? I’m not sure.

The current draw from the radar detector is .223 Amp which is equivalent to less than 3 watts. If the battery is 40 Ah it should be sufficient for 6 days. Is the 12v battery not charged even the car is in sleep mode? I’m not willing to go to the other side of the car to tap into a non-permanent 12 volts fuse box.

Any suggestion beside switching the radar off when not used for many days?

I had mine installed at BestBuy (I trust the installer and for $60 it was well worth it). I installed the Escort Max360 with Escort dashcam and bought the hardwire cord that has a fuse inline. He installed it and it only turns on when the car is on and turns off (including lights/power to dashcam) when car turns off. I thought V1 and Escort use the same hardwire. I can find out what fuse slot he tied to...?

Sure, if you know they are using the left fuse box I will more than interested to see which slot they connect the fuse tap.

I hardwired mine into the passenger fuse box (V1 Gen 2 and my Blackvue). V1 only turns on when the car is turned on and the Blackvue has power with the car off (and the version of Blackvue that I have monitors the power and will shut down to not drain the 12v).

Here is a link to the thread and I identify the fuses I used.
