That's about the same number of vehicles affected by the HV heater issue.
Nothing to worry about, then. /s

(Though this does sound a tad more serious, so maybe P are being more open/honest?)

How does "28 cars affected" even work?

They used a different piece for 28 cars? The supplier traced a problem to 28 parts and 28 parts only? (and Porsche somehow tracks exactly which 28 cars those 28 pieces went into?)
Or Porsche incorrectly assembled 28 cars, but despite doing so incorrectly, somehow now correctly knows exactly which 28 cars suffered from this?

Reviewing audit logs from the assembly line, or finding/being reported of one out in the wild, and then extrapolating to the same shift/station/batch etc.

(edit) This is, of course, speculation on my part.

The recall notice is for US Taycans. Taycans sold outside the US would not be included in the 28 listed in this recall notice.
Yeah, I think that's the missing part I didn't think about.
28 cars isn't even a days production, didn't make sense to me how you'd swap out parts, or have a different batch from suppliers for that. But if the majority of affected cars didn't make it to the US, then that works out.

hmmm, last days I was surprised to see my Taycan parking unleveled/uneven after some days. Will keep an eye on that
