By design, after battery is warmed, when applying the brake pedal the slowing force is recuperation. I am trying to troubleshoot a friction brake issue but find it difficult with recuperation. Does anyone know if it is possible to turn off brake pedal recuperation and only use friction braking? I've checked good-to-know and searched elsewhere but have not found that ability.

I do not believe so other than ragen is not used for the first few minutes after starting the car from cold. It only uses friction braking then until some heat is put into the rotors and probably to help clear any rust (depending on rotor construction) and water that may be on them.

So if you want to test/force use of rotors – first few mins from cold is your best bet.

That's what I'm figuring. It is just a few quick minutes in the morning.

The only thing I can think of is, hit the break pedal super hard at lower speeds...

You can experiment yourself, just watch the green recup bar while breaking.

Charge to 100% drive fast and hit the break fast.

Charge to 100% on a mountain and drive downhill. There will be a point, where there is no recup anymore.

You can activate the friction brake doing the following.
1. Drive the car with somme speed (30 miles)
2. Lift the foot from the speeder
3. Hit the brake pedal with the left foot
4. While the car is still mowing forward activate the speeder while still braking with the left foot.
Recuperation are now deactivated until you release the brake pedal

Try turning off PSM. I seem to recall that disabling recuperation.
I have tried both PSM Sport (one press) and PSM Off (long press) but recuperation is still active though maybe less aggressive.

Thanks. I'll experiment.
