Hey my Taycan frirends,

I'm a Taycan newby and wonder about the myPorsche App.
I tried to charge my car at EA. So I clicked the charging button on the app. Result "Please try later again".
What the hell I did wrong?

Did you try it before connecting the cable?

If you have plug and charge enabled in the PCM and the EVSE supports it then you should not require the app (or Taycan RFID card).

Electricity America told me that a Porsche card is not used in the US.

We have the card in UK and had thought the rest of Europe would be similar.

You need to sign up for the Porsche Connect service - Porsche Charging Service - My Porsche Website.

Porsche owners not being able to charge at EA is a big problem. I have had my car for 4 mos. and not been able to plug & charge using the MyPorsche app and taking advantage of the free miles. In my case the problem has gone to Germany and is now back with Porsche NA. I get periodic calls from the tech guys saying they are working on it with EA but it sounds like EA has not been very responsive. The Porsche tech guys in Detroit have conceded that a lot of Taycan owners are having this problem.

This definitely needs to be fixed but as a workaround you can turn off P&C and start your free charging session through the MyPorsche app. That works for me and it’s a quick process. Once you figure out where that functionality actually is inside the app it’s easy to do. In case you don’t know, it’s in the map section of the app.

Lol. Since having constant failures with P&C I've tried the MyPorsche app which gives me an error: "The server could not be reached. Please try again later."

I get that error too from time to time when I use the MyPorsche app. I kill the app on my phone and restart it. That usually fixes the error for me. It's a shit software experience but at least there are some workarounds.

Switch off PnC in the Car ... Maybe that helps.
