The aero makes the car. Gives it the exotic lookJust wish you could get all the aero on the turbo GT with backseats. Granted not a buyer for this new. To rich and to high depreciation for me. I will get on in a couple years though.
Yes. A fewOther than press cars, I'm wondering if a Taycan GT weissach has even been sold to the public here in the US?.
Another reason I won't be buying the J1.2, I would be happy with 1 charging port and both air curtains on my car. I am totally unimpressed by the electric charge doors and wouldn't bother with them even if they didn't block the vent. This is true. Turbo GT comes standard with the power charging doors which closes off the side vents.
Weissach comes with 1 charging port, no option for the power charging door, but the side vents are wider for more air pass through
It also doesn't have a power trunk, so you have to manually close it.I wonder if the back seat area carbon-fiber molding can be removed and allow for long items to pass through from trunk area and all the way to the front seat?
The current configuration makes it a non-strarter for me who needs to slide a fixed paddle that is about 180 inches long.
oh, i use my trunk all the time to store an inflatable paddleboard that is 14 feet long and 28 inches wide (when inflated) an electric pump and a long paddle. It also doesn't have a power trunk, so you have to manually close it.
The trunk of both Turbo GTs also loses volume due to the hump from the 900amp inverter. Nothing usable about it.
I've only used my trunk once once on my car, people in the back seat 6x (under protest). I use the frunk to hold everything, including my wallet, cell phone.
There are only 4 open allocations for the Weissach in the US. These will be very rare
Purple sky metallic is gorgeous under the bright lights
Thats Porsche for you.I don't get it, the most expensive Taycan is actually the cheapest and most profitable Taycan?
Interior is cheaper than base model, no rear vents, no doors sills, no door trims, no power trunk, no matrix lights, etc
Turbo GT Weissach doesn't come with those paper thin floor matts. It's a no cost option, but still an option.Less is more! Porsche is well known with that, look at all the models that has the cloth pull handles, some earlier models like the Cayman are and first gen Spyder had AC as an option while the base had it included..
I understand the cloth pull handles in already lightweight RS cars but removing few kilos from 2.3 ton car is BS. The weight is in the motors and battery pack.Gram by gram weight savings for optimal performance.
I agree. It's purely Porsche marketingI understand the cloth pull handles in already lightweight RS cars but removing few kilos from 2.3 ton car is BS. The weight is in the motors and battery pack.
Are the motors heavier than a twin turbo flat-6 engine, gearbox and 4 wheel drive system?I understand the cloth pull handles in already lightweight RS cars but removing few kilos from 2.3 ton car is BS. The weight is in the motors and battery pack.
Taycan motors and battery are heavier than Lucid or Tesla drivetrain so they had room to improve but for a facelift was too much effort probably and accountant said no.Are the motors heavier than a twin turbo flat-6 engine, gearbox and 4 wheel drive system?
