I figured I'd add one more post with some visualization.

Charger overhead was time for the charger to start, changing pumps, etc.
I never spent any "extra" time at a stop that I didn't need to.

The really bad pumps like ABQ and Flagstaff have a ton of overhead because I had to hassle so much with them.

Along the way the car kept trying to get me to charge at this Tillman County Courthouse would have been a 2.5 hour charge...no thanks! I had my plan of Hilton in Lawton and stuck to it.

Nice radar detector; too bad it failed as the ABRP’s proposed stop at the Tillman County Courthouse calculated the precise time for your arraignment, trial, and posting of bail.

Made it home! I decided to go home in 3 days vs 2.

Here are my final stats.

Days On Road: 5 (2 out, 3 back)
Time Driving: 2d 9h 6m 21s
Time Charging: 11h 7m
Overhead*: 3h 12m 42s

* Overhead is defined as time spent at the charger other than the actual charge minutes. That includes time to plug/unplug. move to a different charger, and in one case waiting my turn for a charger.

Does the charging time include destination chargers at hotels or just high-speed chargers?

Only the high-speed chargers. I actually didn't use destination chargers en route, but did at my hotel during my week in Los Gatos. The Toll House Hotel was quite well appointed with 4 Clipper Creek and 6 Tesla charge spots.

Did you try the Tesla EVSEs? You would need the adapter (Tesla to J1772), but I’m curious if the hotel would let non-Tesla cars use the,.

I do have a TeslaTap adapter but opted not to use it to leave those spots for Teslas.

Interestingly, one of the Teslas kept charging on the J-1772 side with HIS adapter! No idea why.

Ugh - road trips really torpedo range for a while. I wonder how long I'll have to drive to overcome 4000 high speed miles.

Sounds like you were really booking at the end of your trip. The GOM should recalculate quickly.
