I think the system adjusts the max speed briefly when it recalculates the route. At least that what seemed to be causing it on a road trip I took.

You can turn off the option that lets the system limit the speed in range mode. It’s somewhere in the drive mode options.

Was the car in range mode? Range mode appears to ignore the settings of the limiter and set new limits at will. (Dependant on Nav and traffic conditions). I had it happen yesterday where all of a sudden I got a limiter set at 50mph (on the motorway). Really annoying (and potentially dangerous). Both range mode and the speed limiter can set their own limits depending on what mood they are in (In range mode it tells you under the words 'Range Mode' - and it then ignores the main limiter setting).

I believe that in range mood it is also impacted by the speed signs on the roadway. I noticed that my max speed in range mood changed depending on the speed limit on the motorway/highway.

I experience the very same issue right now. With range mode activated, the max speed is limited to 90 km/h - also on a motorway with 120 km/h speed limit (which the car identifies). Now, I’m pretty sure that previously I could change this limit set-up up to 140 km/h, but now I cannot find that setting anywere in the PCM. Very frustrating and also dangerous!

I don’t have the Intelligent Range Manager, which is an option in Finland, so it must be something else.

Do you have the PCM capability to adjust the max speed limit in Range mode? I recall it being a type of slider (up to 140 km/h), but can’t find it anywhere any longer...

Goto nav, click 3 buttons. Scroll down and there is a setting in there about using Porsche range or something like that. I turned mine off today but have not tested yet.

Yes, mine is off as well, but the instrument cluster still looks like in the photo... Can’t get pass 90 km/h even with kickdown.

Manual states that Range mode max speed can be adjusted (see the screenshot with light blue highlighting), but my menu looks like in the two other pictures It’s simply not there anymore.

I’m sure I could kick down. It went from 90 to 55 with me whilst changing destinations. I was on the motorway when it dramatically slowed down. Not very clever.

@AxelC
You do have some problem with your options list! Here are some screen shots of mine.
I don not have Intelligent (???) Range Manager and have not used the PorscheCharge Planner. I hve the possibility to adjust the speed.

Thanks @Scandinavian ! So I remembered correctly. And now, to make things even more complicated, as I initialised the factory settings (re-set as per Porsche Support’s suggestion), it didn’t resolve this issue but it caused also the vehicle’s Wifi to disappear... . Wifi settings are no longer available (see photo where I only have “Phone settings” and Bluetooth settings”), and cannot connect (any) phone to car Wifi...
