Seats Comfort 14 way vs Sport 18 way - pros/cons???

I have till Tuesday to lock RWD with these options. In hearing the feedback here I added the massage ventilation with either 14 or 18 way. I coming from Cayman that had sport seats, but like it cushy too. Is there a big difference in firmness?

Are there pros/cons with 14 way comfort vs 18 way sport + other functionality?

18-way doesn’t have massage or ventilated seats. That’s only on the 14-way.

I have ventilated seats on both my Macan and my wife’s Panamera. I love them and use them all of the time. My wife almost never uses them (well, she uses them for sitting...but she doesn’t use the ventilation). So, it’s personal preference.

We ordered our Taycan 4S with massage and ventilated seats because we heard good things about the massage function. But it hasn’t arrived yet so I can’t comment personally.

You can play with the configurator to confirm this for yourself but 18 way seats CAN be had with ventilation as a stand alone. However, you can't get them with the combo massage/ventilation option.

I prefer the 18 way seats. IMHO they look sportier and help keep you in place better because the top and bottom side bolsters are deeper and also adjustable. BTW, I believe it is the adjustable bolsters that prevent the massage function from being offered with the 18 way as there isn't room for the hardware both for the inflatable bolsters and the massage function.

If you need/want massage you have to go 14 way. If you just want ventilation you can choose either seat. Based on my experience, they are equally comfortable as far as the seat firmness is concerned.

Dan, you have almost exact config as my MissionE model
I tried both 14 way and 18 way and ended up with 18 way
Prefer the look, feel and confidence the 18 way seats provide, they hug you nicely
Massage would be great but wasn’t enough to sway me from 18 way

Hmm…I think you can get the 18 way seats vented. I have one on order with this. Confirmed in my build sheet. Vented is included in the premium package, which I have, and then I added the 18-way seats as a further upgrade without issue.

It looks like it’s based on the interior. You can’t select 18-way with ventilated seats unless you upgrade to full leather.

That’s interesting! Even though the full leather package doesn’t change the seats. ?‍

Yes, full leather is required to get ventilated 18 way seats both for the RWD Taycan and the 4S. I should have noted that the OP was getting the standard interior.

Seems weird to me to get a RWD and all the expensive performance extras to take it up to the cost of a 4S.

Yeah, my first thought was why aren't you going 4s?

I went 14-way massage and ventilated but that was because I wanted massage. I didn't even consider the 18-way due to this.

Interesting. My '21 Cayenne GTS has ventilated 18-way seats.
