Hi all,

New to me 4S owner. Loving the car. Small nit pick thing. Is there a way to display the artist and track on Sirius? My current screen shows the favorites list and on the right it shows album art. Then the station name again under. Would love to have artist and track instead.

Press the leftmost "tab" (I think it's called Play) and it will switch the view. I think the playlist tab is the 2nd one, and Play is the first.

With the flat interface, it doesn't look like it, but the tabs are at the top of the screen

I have a May 2020 Turbo and originally Sirius did display the artist and track info. Unfortunately, after the big AMB5 software update, it stopped displaying. Since I primarily listen to Sirius in the car, this was a major loss for me. It is not practical to have to keep switching over to the "Play" tab just to see what is playing. I especially appreciated in the Favorites tab because I was able to see what was playing on all of my favorites so I could decide whether to change channels or not.

If you have the passenger display, you could keep the passenger display on the Play tab and then use your main screen for favorites or channel listing. So at least you can see the info across the dash.

This is a big one for me as well. Would love to see that setting back to be able to see the artist and track info!!

Sirius XM radio on the Taycan is a dumpster fire riding on a train wreck, which is a shame because before the big update eighteen months ago it worked just fine.

Also, don't get too attached to the favorites you input either, because they will disappear randomly every six weeks or two months.

Other than that, it works great!!!

Thanks for the responses. Every car I’ve had has had quirks regarding the infotainment system. My E63 was horrible. I think BMW really nailed it with they’re latest system. My wife’s X5 works flawlessly. Wireless CarPlay connects instantly. Best system in the current german car line up. The Porsche system is clunky.I don’t understand when the engineers test these systems how no one says we can do better. But don’t get me wrong. The car is otherwise perfect in my opinion.

PCM has always been terrible for Favorites, and the Taycan is just following in the steps of its predecessors :p

Since SiriusXM dropped VSIN, I never change channels now anyway.

I recently sent a complain to Porsche about how Sirius never works in my vehicle. It will work briefly and then next time I restart the car I cannot select it as a source. Here was their response to me:

Porsche truly appreciates you contacting us.

I am incredibly sorry for any inconvenience you are experiencing with your stunning 2020 Carmine Red Taycan 4S. For Sirius XM, a Wi-Fi data package is required. Unfortunately, our Porsche does not come equipped with that feature. However, you can utilize a Wi-Fi hot spot from an external device. I hope that clears up some confusion.

As a friendly reminder, you can always email or call us at 1-800-PORSCHE with any further questions. We thank you for being a valued member of the Porsche family!

Kind regards,
