Wife likes blue. we got 2 blue Model X. So now the CT is Gentian Blue. I was getting a little tired of blue, but from pictures, it looks good. Seen other Porsche in Gentian, and it's growing on me.

I want to see some of pictures of your Porsche version mill valley Prius. Or as my friends call the Teslas down the peninsula. Palo Alto Camrys.

I live in and ordered from Marin. Finished production today, so you'll see one more (gentian) 4S on the road soon. I see a lot of Taycans around here - they are selling like crazy! For those not around here, almost every new car on the road is a Tesla. They call them the "Mill Valley Prius" . The transition to electric is happening quickly...

Mamba was my first choice. Going for watermelon Taycan. But wife shut it down. Was going to wrap in PPF for matte finish to tone down the pop a little. But now I'll be wrapping a Gentian instead.

I ordered at launch, went to Marin because they had a 4S allocation (I originally wanted a turbo but I think 4S is plenty). I actually live in Berkeley so I’ll be making the trip over there to pick up in a few hours.

I guess I’ll have to post some pictures before I start peeling back trim pieces to see if the fender plastic can be removed

Well on my first drive in the car, it looks like I ran into @Greenmachine today! He (I think) stopped me while I was driving a back road in San Rafael not an hour after I picked it up. Very small world! Loving the car so far, I went straight to some curvy roads to inflict some pain on my tires and can report that the car feels great, very planted for its size.

Well on my first drive in the car, it looks like I ran into @Greenmachine today! He (I think) stopped me while I was driving a back road in San Rafael not an hour after I picked it up. Very small world! Loving the car so far, I went straight to some curvy roads to inflict some pain on my tires and can report that the car feels great, very planted for its size.

Yes that was me. I was taking my 15 year old to practice at San Rafael High School and he was mortified at me flagging you down ?

Another Marin customer here. I placed my order on 2/5 and the car was delivered on 5/15. I was fortunate in that I was able to take over a dealer order that was just a week from locking and before some of the real new car craziness began in March and April. Even got a fair discount. It probably helps that I've purchased multiple Porsches from the same SA at Marin over the past 15 years.

FWIW, I spoke with my SA just a few days ago and we were discussing some of the issues around new car buying and the markups that are prevalent now across the industry. He told me that Marin still wasn't charging over MSRP for their cars, aside from the GT models which do command a premium.

There’s a gap but the gloss matches everything else. I prefer the way it looks without rails but my SA said I couldn’t have a rack without them, so I got ‘em! This thing will be a hauler

Starting to see few Taycans out here in the Tri-Valley now. Everyone here is tired of seeing Tesla's at every 4-way intersection and we all joke that the Model 3 is the new Honda Accord.

I've turned a few heads with my 4S for sure.

Waze routed my morning commute to SF via Golden Gate Bridge from the East Bay due to bad traffic. Then I was also routed off 101 for a few miles and re-enter 101.

Along the way, I saw 4 Taycans, no less. For the past year, I must have seen like 2 Taycans in the wild. Then 4 in 1 day all over by Marin / Sausalito. ha.

We have a fair number here in Austin (in certain neighborhoods). I see a couple regularly near my home and sometimes out and about. Still, probably less common than 911s and way less common than Teslas. At a $100k+ price point, they're never going to be ubiquitous.

I have friends that are "car guys" living in other parts of the country that have never seen one (or didn't realize the model existed). I suspect heavy concentration in California and places like Austin, just like Teslas initially.
