Sports Sound Variation

Anyone else notice a change in pitch with the sports sound when switching to Sport mode. Makes it feel like the car’s dropped down a gear like with an ICE car switching to Sports mode. I really like it.

That’s what is actually happening at lower speeds. The car shifts from 2nd to 1st.

Yep, and I love it. Also, I noticed that at lower speeds Range mode has a deeper rumble which makes me drive in that mode when in the city. Although it doesn't have the spaceship landing sound like sports plus mode does when coming to a stop. My Wife noticed it several months back and I've been driving in range mode more often. Highways will always get the Sport plus mode.

Oh, so it’s actually a mechanical change that is fed through the system, not something artificial. That makes sense. But why would the tone also change when switching to range mode?

It’s mechanical change amplified/emphasized with synthesized sound.
