I’ve recently started to adjust the chassis ride height from the car screen setting to overcome speed bumps to prevent scraping the front spoiler, although the suspension is now squeaking loudly !! Has anybody else had the same ? Is it just a case of some lubrication needed? Any thoughts, cheers, Chris.

Are you sure its the suspension and not the brakes?

Yes definitely suspension, it is so loud just after I’ve started using and adjusting the chassis height, so must be related to this, Let’s say leaving a car park is now super embarrassing as its so loud.

The other thing I was thinking is that it’s had its first wash by a local Valeter who used a pressure washer under the arches/wheels. All at same time as adjusting the chassis height.

What you’re describing sounds like cold coated brakes, known to squeal on any porsche. Could also be the self cleaning thing of brakes when you start the car, which also squeal

that’s why I am asking

There are many people including me, that have door handles that squeak as we drive away from park, when the handle retract to a flush position. I assume you would be able to tell if it were this vs suspension but throwing it out there.

Things is. As I’ve only just started raising the chassis ride height to overcome speed bumps, it is apparent in my mind it has to be suspension related as I bought the car 5 weeks ago and if it were brakes related then I would of already witnessed the loud squeaking, in my opinion anyhow,

Well, i'll give you a simple test. Don't raise your car, drive it at slow speeds around your parking in the morning. If it squels, it's the brakes, which squeal on all porsches.

Could be weather related. My car make a squeaking noise some days when pulling out of the garage (even if brake pedal is not pressed). It stopped for a few months, but started again maybe a week ago, so I suspect it's temperature related (it got warmer last few days). It also sometimes squeaks during first few brakings, but that stopped recently (perhaps the car gets its squeaking out of the way early when warm - maybe parking brake is not quite retracting all the way?).

Main point I'm making is that seasons are changing, so maybe yours is temperature related. too.

Update - as mentioned, car went into Porsche today and it was agreed that the official diagnosis is “squeaky suspension” as I thought. It is going back for a few days to be re resolved. So there we have it - not brakes, not handles.

Whilst there it had the ARB6 recall battery health check and all is ok.

Just pleased the squeaking was diaganosed.
