I dream of a HUD that will display a small arrow on top of each vehicle with their current speed and time to contact ... ?
You can see the speed of the vehicle in front of you on the display in the Taycan. Time to contact needs some calculating.

I have had some scary moments driving in Belgium, especially in roundabouts! I had an explanation from a guy in a restaurant.
He said that in Belgium you have a very strict rule on right of way for the vehicle coming from the right. Does this mean that traffic merging from the right would have right of way for traffic already in the round about then?

And also traffic in the inner lane would have right of way to the car in the middle or outer lane??

I feel he pulled my leg!

If not I think all Belgium cars should have a flashing orange light on the roof when they drive in Europe!

I'm resurrecting this thread because I ordered a new Cayenne Electric yesterday, and I've just realised it has ACC as standard. AAGGGHHHHHHH!!!! My worst nightmare. I'm absolutely with Frank on this. ACC is a massive pain the arse other than for stop/start traffic., and for the reasons Frank has outlined.

Please tell me somebody has found a way to just use ACC in a passive way and without the radar element?

I haven't tried this as I'm happy with ACC (and sometimes InnoDrive), but I believe "limiter" mode is how you'd activate "traditional" cruise control – that holds you at a firm speed limit regardless of traffic conditions around you.

Edit: I was wrong in my interpretation of the "Limiter" option as confirmed by @Scandinavian and @Midlifecrisis below.

Just let me use ACC in "passive" mode and like a regular cruise control. That's all I ask. BMW enable you to do this. Why can't Porsche?!!

I can accelerate but it slows prematurely so often it usually has started to slow before I realise I need to
I can drive round the problem but I usually just leave it off now whereas standard CC I just leave on all the time and change lanes as needed, only needing to cancel it if the overtaking lane is slow.

I see quite a lot of people like it but I still don’t and doing a longer journey in a car with it while my Taycan is broken just confirmed how delighted I am not to have got ACC on the Taycan.
Agree with everything you say, Frank.
