What’s better than a drive through the California redwoods? Not much.

Last night was a brief stopover in Klamath.
This morning was a leisurely drive down the scenic route through Prairie Creek Redwoods state park.

Then a continuation down 101, past the roiling Pacific (that’s an oxymoron), through more beautiful redwood forests, along rivers, with a lunch and 50kW charging stop at the Benbow Historic Inn.

Hello California, my dear California. I do adore you.

In 1999 I went on a PCA Treffen to the factory in Zuffenhausen and the people at the factory actually seemed bothered by the concept of a Porsche "garage queen". "Our cars are meant to be driven!" You're making them proud Don!

80°F. Wow. These flannel lined jeans are warm.

While the car gets one last big charge here in Half Moon Bay, I watch the sun set from a tiny Taqueria. Oh, yes, California, I am happy to be here.

Another hour drive and I’ll be home to see Mom. And everyone else in the Bay Area!!!

EVgo charging stations (both here) only give me a couple of kWhs, then they stop charging. 5 freaking times now. Grrrr. Now after a reboot, it won’t even start a charge.

Tonight’s lesson: I cannot rely on EVgo stations.

Curious your top charging rate using Electrify America? ( especially at 80f temp) Evgo looks slower.

What are your thoughts on Apple CarPlay or Apple Music integration? What convenience features does the Porsche Connect app support? I’ve had Teslas in the past and I love all the things you can control from the app (i.e. start climate, turn on seat heaters, track the location of the car, get a notification when charging is almost complete, set charging to begin at a certain time of the day and etc.).

That's strange, EVgo has been quite reliable for my Bolt. I am guessing you are at that Green Leaf market in Half Moon Bay. I have taken the spouse and charged there a couple times and eat at Flying Fish on Taco Tuesdays.

The glass roof was fine in 80° weather. No problem. No glare. All the cooling and heating systems work quite well.
