Sorry if I missed this question, but is that a stick on license plate on the front? If so any issues yet? And where did you order from?
Yes, it’s a self-made reproduction. No issues yet. Photographed, printed, laminated, double-stick taped.

For me, it just needs to be as good as Tesla’s Autopilot 1. If it can do that it’s worth it.
Uh... yeah... nope. It is not anywhere near Tesla’s Autopilot.

Don...on the availability of chargers/ charging stations... As we journeyed with you across Canada I noticed that at nearly every charging station you were the lone user. As you made your way over to Vancouver and now down the West Coast are you:

1. Seeing more and more charging stations?
2. Are you seeing more people using them?
3. If occupied, have you had to wait long for one to open up?

Seems to me the future would need to have more stations with more spots. Kind of like we have down here in the South with QT, RaceTrac, or even Pilot travel centers.

Thanks in advance
The best answer I have is the difference in numbers of charging stations in Canada vs. Silicon Valley.

Virtually no one drives an electric car in remote Canada, so charging stations are few and far between. In California, Electric cars are as common as Camrys, so there are many, many charging stations.

It’s a bit of a chicken and egg thing, but the takeaway is that the charging stations are being built out where needed.

The freeways are getting high speed stations. The grocery stores and malls are getting medium speed stations. And your home should have a Level 2 station.

If occupied, I go elsewhere... assuming I can!

Don, I know that you are very disappointed in how the Active Lane Keeping works on your vehicle but I have seen happier users reports in other forums and watched the Good to Know videos and find it hard to believe that it's working correctly for you. Maybe you should have it looked at when you get to PECLA.

Maybe. I’ve used it a bit more. It does work, but as a driver you need to be very aware of the limitations.
I’m probably just a control freak! :)

Look forward to your charging station updates once you leave the West coast and swing east through the desert SW and beyond...

I don’t think it is as capable as the latest Tesla Full Self Driving but I think it has the hardware to be close to early 2015 Mobile Eye version. ie lane keeping, traffic aware cruise control. But I’ll take your word for it since you’ve been able to try both.

My mom and I went for a hike in Point Lobos State Reserve. It is probably my favorite park in California. If I had to pick just one. Luckily, I don’t, because there are many wonderful parks here.

My only experience with Tesla’s Autopilot is reading about it and watching youtube videos. And reading crash reports.

I saw another Taycan on the road today. White Turbo. In Carmel. I was three cars back in traffic, so no pictures.

My Tesla has the autopilot. It is a combination of a lane keeping and adaptive cruise control only. Not nearly autopilot. Many cars on the market have a similar product I ordered my Taycan with the Innodrive I suspect it will be very similar to my Tesla's autopilot which is many miles away from a real autopilot.
