Making Coffee in the car.
It is very important to be prepared. When one visits friends who (for some unimaginable reason) don’t drink coffee, one must supply one’s self with a caffeine fix.
I brought a portable espresso maker. Add water, add coffee puck, plug it in, it builds pressure and temperature, and then in one quick move it dispenses a lovely shot of happiness.
Then we went to breakfast. And then I drove Topanga Canyon Road, PCH, and hung out in Santa Monica and Beverly Hills. Land of palm trees. And money.

CLA powered, not USB. It pulls 140watts... or as we EV drivers say: 0.14kW. Which is more than most cars will provide to a CLA. Though it works in my Sprinter Van as well.
The brand is Handpresso.
It uses Illy espresso pucks.

The folks at Beverly Hills Porsche were great. Even though I dropped in without an appointment, they pulled the latest logs from the car to send to Germany. They even washed the car so it’s super shiny for the visit to the Porsche Experience Center tomorrow. (Or so some peacocks can attack it)
Had a great dinner in Santa Monica with a co-worker from way back. Catching up with friends is what this adventure is all about.
