Taycan air suspension versus 992 FA

My 992 has front axle lift, which is a feature I love. Haven’t scratched lip despite it being lowered.

Looking at Taycan GTS but dont now if/how the air suspension can quickly be raised for same purpose. Also not sure how much that would raise the car/front.

can you guys help?

Pressing the shock button on the instrument cluster does it. At that time, PCM will ask if you want to remember that location for smart lift.

I had FA on my 991.2 and now the air suspension on the Taycan.
The Taycan on "lift" easily clears the same areas that I used FA on the 911 for, and I believe has substantially more clearance.

(FA lifts the car by 40mm IIRC, the range of the air suspension is also ~40mm from Low to Lift, but I think the low on Taycan is slightly more ground clearance than the 911... but happy to be corrected if it isn't )


(I'm assuming ground clearance didn't substantially change with the 992... )

Isn't it the lift button rather than the shock button?

Yes, I'm assuming that a flat lift of the whole car doesn't meaningfully change the clearance vs. a 40mm lift of just the front axle (Though strictly speaking not true, due to angle etc.)

Lift is good enough for UK speed bumps etc.

Rapid I'd say. Trick is to set Smart Lift for locations where you need it, save that location. Approach the known location at reduced speed to allow GPS to catch up and within a few short seconds the car is lifted.
