Taycan auto opening without comfort access

I’ve had my taycan turbo since July and it doesn’t have comfort access as I was worried about keyless theft. However now within the last week the car is auto unlocking as I approach the car and the handles are presenting themselves.
Reading the manual hasn’t really helped........ does anyone have any ideas or experienced the same thing?

the touch sensor on the door handle however does not do anything?

I believe there's a menu option in the PCM < exterior locking> where you can adjust.
or it's possessed...
I get the touch sensor to work about 40% of the time

I've not got Comfort Access and mine has started doing the same ? Can't do it on command of course, but would be nice to know what prompts it ? Porsche App ? or PCM ?

In the US, comfort access is standard, so hard for us to even fathom the difference.

How is it supposed to work? Door handles do not present themselves unless you manually unlock by pressing the key? I assume that you do not need to insert the key into a socket to start the car, yes? So what is deleted from the system for comfort access?

It is certainly possible that there was an update that inadvertently enable this feature on demand, though. That would be a treat to know if true!

So yes in the UK if you don’t spec comfort access you have to physically press the unlock button on the key to unlock the car. However once in the car you don’t have to put the key anywhere, it’s effectively keyless go. The further puzzle is if you walk away the car will automatically lock but the mirrors don’t fold in as they should. Also the sensors on the door handles have no effect, no that I think they should as this would only be active with comfort access. It must be a Porsche update that has caused this change. No doubt if I call the dealer they won’t have a clue and I’ll have to book the car in.

yes it locks the doors...... seems like it’s going to need to go to the dealer. On the PCM the only locking options relate to which door/s unlock.

Mines started doing it a couple of weeks ago. Yet my business partners hasn't. Neither has comfort access which was purposely avoided.

I have comfort access, and whislt the car unlocks when you approach, it doesnt lock itself when you leave.
Its a little frustrating as If I go out and not use the Taycan, if I walk near the car it will open ( I have my front door keys on the same key ring), I thn have to remember to physically lock it.
I know I could get over this problem by havening seperate Key rings, but I like to have them all together, minimises the problem of forgetting a set

I have contacted Porsche and I am waiting on a call from a taycan specialist. I have had a car stolen off my drive with keyless tech so I am annoyed. Let’s see what they say....... not holding out much hope.

Well this is interesting as I was just about to start a new thread myself for a similar issue. My Turbo (UK owner) has comfort access showing on the settings, BUT, only for steering wheel and seat. There is nothing in the settings for door access etc (as described in the Porsche manual). I’ve tried everything to get this to work.. but failed..

Is there anywhere we can see what standard features come with the spec of car purchased?

If you don’t want it, could you ask Porsche to send me your option via over the air update please.. as I have comfort access and would love it but can’t get it.. There is no winning with my car.... lol
